when should i adjust my ph?

I have 2 DIY water farms going and the ph always going up. I have a chernobyl and purple trainwreck going in each bucket. I set my ph to 5.5 on both buckets and in one day the chernobyl goes up to 6.8 and purple trainwreck to 6.4 I been adjust for a few days now and was wondering if I should just leave it alone. I'm using flora micro, grow, and bloom in 1/4 tsp/gal. Also using GH ph down.

I wouldn't worry too much about it if it stays between 5.5 and 6.5. Adjust it after lunch every day LOL

If you think that you are going to keep it perfect all the time you will soon find that you can't. It will go up and down all the time. Just try to keep it as stable as you can. The bigger the res the easier that is.

koo thxs for the replys guys. i was thinking that adjusting it every day might stress the plant out so i just wanted to make sure before i continue doing it.

Blaze: if your plants are feeding hard you can see the pH of your nutes change pretty radically. I used to panic and then a friend advised me to check it at the same time every day and readjust it to 5.8. That's been my habit now for a few years now and it has worked for me. At ten o'clock in the morning I need to take a break and that's when I put the kettle on to boil and check my pH. Once it's a habit you don't have to remember to do it but for now you might want to set your alarm clock to a time that's convenient for you. HSA
