I've been a insomnia sufferer for 6 years.

Been addicted to sleeping pills for 2yrs

Coming off them now.

What strains are good for insomnia?

Same here, I hated taking sleeping pills for more than a week.

Any pure indica couchlock strain will be good. I dont advise getting a sativa dominant strain as that is more of a headhigh than couchlock.

Right now I have some Northern Lights and it's really helps get me to sleep. Even with the sleeping pills I would stay up past 3am and have to get up for work at 6am :(

Now I can fall asleep whenever thanks to my med!

I wouldn't pay too much attention to THC percentages . . . it's all about certain strains having the right combination or ratio of CBD to THC to CBN. there are certain indicas that probably wouldn't score even 10% thc that would nock your ass out cold . . . . so it's really bad to recommend strains to an insomniac based on THC when it's not THC itself that nocks you out, but the catalyst of THC with CBD and possibly other cannabinoids that we may not even be aware of . . . .

Hi - definitely use an indica strain, but what you can also do to make the marijuana even more effective for sleeping harvest it very late, when many of the trichomes have turned into amber color. This also means that much THC is degraded into the stuff you want.
