Is it only some plants that do this ?
have you tried cutting it down with just plain peat or coco maybe ?
Ive never seen or had a chance to use this soil and the search i did showed mostly UK journals
It seems all my young plants have been doing this, and it started before I switched to canna terra, up until then I had been using happy frog

Yes I've always been a big fan of the happy frog. My only gripe is it tends to come with free fungus gnats especially in the spring and summer months lol!
A couple of very reputable growers I know locally said they had a 20% increase in production with canna over happy frog, so I decided to give it a shot. They don't run autos though so maybe again it's just too hot a soil for most auto strains..
Today 3 of my fruit auto freebies popped ground, so I'm interested to see if they do the same thing.

This is the actual soil I'm using.

can somebody please do a stupid check for me and see if I'm reading it correctly? I'm reading that the soil contains enough nutrients for the first week of growth. So is it fair to say I might need to add some nutrients since I'm starting week 3 tomorrow?
thats about when i start feeding them ..... the reading i did said it feeds for the first few weeks its basically what im mixing up but i dont use the wood chips or bark .... i use coarse coco

Right "ph" 6.5, sounds like you are making thing to complicated -Keeping it Simple" helps prevent plant issues; sounds like you are getting it under control. Should not feed nutrients until week 3 - weeks 103 a good root stmulator (your base) remember feed nutrients at 1/2 strenght, because they (nutrients) are made for the professional/comerical use which requires a strong mix. Can always increase; "Less is Best" !!!
