It's been a rough winter on the mountain. 2 broken plow frames, a couple 2ft snow storms that left us walking up for a couple days,1 broken snow machine and now a mud run that just wont quit..!!

The greenhouse is looking a little tattered. One night during one of the 2ft storms I found myself climbing into the greenhouse with a length of strapping to rip the plastic up. We already had a foot of snow on top and a bunch of thick ice, so it was a chore.

April 1st we started our outdoor seedlings. (I'll put up numbers and a list of strains shortly)

177 seedlings in total.

We lost 7 so 170 in total now.

It was starting to get a little crowded on the table so we cleaned and setup the other table so we could spead them out a bit.image.jpeg

Feminized or unfeminized seeds?

Feminized.
We'd have to start close to 400 seedlings to insure we had enough females if we were to use reg's. Double the lights, power, nutrients, soil and quadruple the work, between watering and sexing them all. Honestly I don't believe we'd have the room for them all in the room we currently use.
That's a great point! I never really thought of it like that. Feminized would definitely be more cost/time effective in every manner. Looking great out there! I'm looking forward to following your grow. Good luck!

I work on a much smaller scale, but I definitely know what you mean. Sexing plants is my least favorite part of the job. I love it when I get a great clone...someone's done all the pheno hunting and sexing for me! Fem seeds are convenient also. It's been years since I grew a whole crop from seed to finish without cloning. I'm sexing some plants now, but for my system, it's usually several months before I have the clones I need. Looking forward to following your progress!

Out of all the ones you planted the 7 that didn't come up which ones were they? We're they all the same or different ones?
