what's a good seed to buy for outdoors in the dirty south?

Say if you lived in somewhere like Mississippi or Alabama and you wanted to grow outdoors and have all your plants do well in that climate and have them all feminized plus maybe some kind of auto flower where you could grow twice a year instead of once?

What type of seed would you be looking for? What strain ? What phenotype?

Any recommendations?

id look for something mold resistant as im sure you will experience Humidity issues in the deep South ! Theres a lot of choices . Narrow it down for a Sativa , Indica and or HYBRID. from there you can get better answers. but always look for pest, mold and mildew resistant strains for the deep south. If i were to suggest 1 , Id go with Kali Mist (sativa) or Western Winds (same strain different breeder. Or get you some good ole Ak-47 and enjoy the knock you down high and yield. just my $ 0.02

Honestly every auto I've tried has been hit with mold and or budrot. Doing the usual thing of stRting them in April means they're flowering heavy in July. Which in our neck of the woods means that's the peak time for heat + humidity. Just an hour of rain means everything will be wet, sticky and hot for the next day or 3. Everyone suggested mold resistant strains. They were right. Indica doms tend to do well. Sativas do awesome as well though. It's just kinda hit or miss when it comes to harvesting them. The good thing about Sativas is that they're in mid to late flower when our temps drop (along with humidity) So mold isn't as much of an issue. Your harvest date will be something you consider on a day by day basis.

try cousin fucking kush. i grew one in huntsville alabama last year and yielded herpes.

also, i hear good things about arkansas toothless haze for a more uplifting high.

word on the streets is that general sherman is an indica hybrid that does well in georgia. burns real nicely.

I have grown green poison, indoors though so it may be irrelevant. I live in south Louisiana and our humidity is killer. Way back when I grew it I didn't have anything near the grow environment I have now and I constantly battled high humidity and heat. I did 3 of them and those damn things never missed a beat. To have seen them while growing and after smoking the final product one would have sworn that they were grown in perfect conditions. I loved it. I will add though, it never once rained in my growroom and I didn't encounter any pests so I can't say how it would do with that. I've grown around 10 or so sweet seeds strains over the years and have always had good luck with them, both photos and autos. Hope this helps in some way.
