So say my buddy gets busted growing and he has 110 plants sog style with few mothers in seperate room. So total 110 plants. His state law says from 1 to a thousand he faces 2 to life over 1000 plants is 25 to life. What would make the feds pick up the case.

interstate transportation of processed plants/possession of firearm while transporting, or assetts like a house worth taking in todays bad real estate market...

Feds could be looking at a bigger picture. In some states 1000 plants is 1000 charges and so just because of the number of counts the Feds could be looking at RICO violations.

There has to be some serious assets involved for the feds to intervene . They like to seize large amounts of cash and valuable assets when it comes to drugs .The change is left for the state and local law enforcement .

Thats a lot of personal use

If someone gets caught with that amount there in theory will be a shitstorm following, potentially reaching his network of people, even if they were involved directly or not
