Topping and LST.
It’s not hard on a healthy plant at all. Followed by a trimming of all the “under carriage “ of the plant. All those buds that would normally be smallish will now be as large as there genetics will allow them. A properly LST’ed plants is really a thing of beauty.

Yea..I usually actually let my branches get pretty big on the bottom..and every year I say I'm not going to and cut them early to allow all the growth head towards the top..but I usually let them grow big and I call my friends that grow and I give them all cuts for clones from my long bottom branches...I thought about just topping and fimming the branches on the bottom I'm gonna cut and when I chop them use them for myself as good clones beacuse I added up all the weight from the clones I gave out once year and they were all only in 5gal pots and it was over a lb...I prob will still give out clones but just save a few spots for the bigger branches I cut...I don't cut as much as most ppl do from the bottom ...just cut what I would've been larf for sure...I don't have enough plans to just cut the hell outa the bottom and only harvest the Bigg top buds..some ppl say u get more weight this way.. maybe more weight per bud but I think you get more weight in totat by not chopping all those lower branches

As SOG is not training then Topping and Super cropping a plant is basically the same as a SCROG but with out the net or you can use it and then place a net..

But with what you listed on your poll - a SCROG

Well.. wouldn't topping ..fimming ..and using a cage to train and support weight ..and when u do that outside u get big plants ..and u usually throw a net over them at the top be better...I mean I think it's a combination of SCROG ...well a variation of it..formed w fim..top..and lst training. ..and the thing is it's not really so much more work to combine them all ..fuck..it's fun...I have always said I get more enjoyment from growing than smoking ...and I do...anything I can be doing to my plants to make them produce more quality smoke is a fun activity for me...lol..it just gets scary cause I'm in a illegal place...

I loved the way one of my girls came out this round. I accidentally broke off her top when she was about 2.5' high.
It grew a lovely rosette without any training. I just had to support it by making a tube around the plant with chickenwire.

I had one I referred to as my "toppie plant" a few years back ...they were all "toppie" but this one was by far the shortest plant I had but it was also the one that had the most tops in my 45s that were all even ...its stock went up about 4 inches or so then was a fat X from a fim...it was a bag seed but I decided to pot it beacuse of how well it was growing..it was the thickest plant iv ever grew and even though I had read and seen ppl get good weight from short plants ..it still really opened my eyes to how much weight I could get from a 4 or 5 foot plant...I loved the way this one came out but I did have to modify my support cages beacuse I focuseds on outward expansion more than the rest of the plants I had going...and from this experience is how I determined a few new grow areas .sadly I'm not gonna get to use them this year but hey..always next season
