What to trim off my plant for flowering

This is my first grow and my girl is 6 1/2 weeks old. She's in a 5 gallon pot in Fox farm happy frog. 400 watt hps I just switched to 12/12 so this is the 3rd day of it. I just recently started some lst on her to try to help with getting the light distributed more even. When trimming off stuff at the bottom that's not receiving light, what do you trim off? The leaves on the bottom of the secondary shoots? The main fan leaves at the bottom? Just not to sure what all can/needs to come off since no light is getting to it. I have 2 plants going but I ran into a problem with one of them and it's lost a lot of leaves but my other one seems very healthy. But just wanted to know what all is safe to trim off at the bottom? Thanks in advance

I really wouldn't trim those,
More light than you think is getting to them.
The plant will use these leafs.
If it is an air circulation problem I might consider it but even then a better fan would be preferable.

You will get mix answers here,

But i would deff defoliate on day 1 and day 21,

You can see the difference in my picture below

First pic was day 1, second is today day 15,

and i cant wait for day 21 as it has gotten soooooo bushy and the lowers are getting no light.

Trim one plant and leave one, and see which one yield more and let us know too

I just pluck off the stuff on the bottom as it yellows and dies during flowering. I would take a few clones just before the flip if you've got some small branches at the bottom that are good candidates and if you already know it's a girl but otherwise wait until mid to late flowering to pluck off any yellowing leaves as they die. Green healthy leaves should stay....
