What To Do With A Hermaphrodite Situation?

I have 3 plants in a small area, about 40 days into flowering, one has about 10 seeds in the bottom buds. None of the other plants show any sign of seed Yet, and I still haven't located the actual culprit of the pollen.

Should I let them finish or is it all going to get seeded and be a waste? Basically I just want to know how to handle this.

Here's my journal for reference and the last post is about this topic with pictures.

So they have ended up being seeds?
If they are, and none have shown on the others. Id remove the seeded one. Check it all over for bananas.
It may be a good idea to remove the affected limbs, then just flower it out. Chances are the stamen, are on the same branches.
Unfortunately there's a good chance, the other plants are already pollenated as well.
Did you have any males? Are you sure you weren't just late to culling them??

It was just 3 plants to start with and they all 3 were female, or so I thought. I looked up and down in the buds for any signs, but nothing stuck out. I'm not experienced in it though.

Ok well im way sus, on the seeded one then. Only way there can be seeds, is if there is stamen somewhere. It's more than likey to be its seeded itself.
Double check your others too.
Pollen, is like semen. The stuff spreads and sticks everywhere.
Remove the plant mate. Check it all over, with a fine toothed combe.
Now.
Good luck.

I think I found the offender. I had to manhandle it and tip the plant up to find it, but I guess I should kill it huh?

You could kill it or let it run, if it's only a nanner or two on lowers you might find minimal self'd seeds. With such small numbers you're running, if it were me, i'd let it finish and have the nugs and some seeds.

I think I'm going to kill that one. I looked over the others, which was easier as they are less bushy. From the eye test we're still good. I figure I might end up with some seeds but maybe still a salvageable crop from them. Maybe.

Yep.
Looks like it to me.
Cull it. Smoke it.
Cross your fingers, and hope your others are fine.
Dont leave it in there or you'll seed the others for sure.
Way i see it. You remove it, you're gonna get less seeds either way.
:peace:

Those seeds came from seeded bud, so they might just be genetically shitty. I could have stressed them, but if you look at my journal I think I took pretty good care of them.

I'm just killing it, letting the others finish, and starting fresh with quality genetics next time.

Thank you Tim and everyone else for the help.

Imho.
Hermies are always the genes. Breeders just use the environment excuse to shift the blame.

Not a problem dude.
Happy to help.
Good luck.

Well since I have your attention, what breeders do you recommend? I'm in an outlaw state in the US, so I'm going to have to do some finagling no matter what I go with.

In the 12 years ive been growing. I have never bought any. I seed my own.
Ive been tempted to give MrNice a try. Because of their original genes. There maybe a few pheno's. But in there somewhere is a little pot of gold!
This is great for breeding.

On the other hand if you just want straight up good strains. People seem to be RAVING about Bhodi. Ive heard he has a "no hermie or refund" guarantee!!

Otherwise, id just avoid the seed banks people are getting hermies from.

I want to eventually get to there, I'm just still focusing on a starting point.

I miss the good old days when "mids" meant regular seeded fluffy popcorn buds. I just picked seeds out of the better bags. Had to deal with sexing them, but from then on it was smooth sailing from my experience.

Yeah man. Totally agree.

Even if its in your local.
Just find a friend or person, who seeds on purpose.
I'm a pretty big believer that greatness can be achieved, pretty close to home.
Same with fruits and vegetables
Support your local farmers.:peace:

Happy growing mate.
