What strain can offer me the best sativa dominant pheno to keep for ever?

Which strain would be the best to put in the closet as a keeper?

Hey guys, hope you are able to vote based on personal experience! Im looking for a real good sativa dominant pheno, which can go directly from clone to flower, and which proves to be some of the best sativa with a clear head high and some awesome taste! Flower time is not an issue, just want some great stuff. Thanks for helping me out! :) As you can see, I am inclined to try some of Sannies stuff!

Not really, those are just my primary candidates. Ive tried to read a lot of journals and smoke reports, since seedbanks in general are full of crap. I just want some impartial descriptions and pieces of advice, to get what I want. So bring it on, Racerboy71!:) Let me know, what youd put in, and also, vote for one of the strains in the poll!

Killing Fields requires pheno hunting in a major way. I'd get 3 packs and go to town if you go that route. Yield and stretch on these is outstanding. There are outstanding phenotypes to be found as well. If KGP is putting you in his top 5 all time you're a winner. But not all are like this. There are not so good plants in the line - mostly with respect to smoke quality - not so much other factors like yield which they all seemed to do well for me (5 phenotypes). I found one I'd call a keeper in those 5 plants but it's not as good smoke as my best SP keepers. It's comparable to the SF... the lesser SF phenotypes. However I know there are better ones in there. It yielded huge though and was real easy to grow. And a lot of people love her so she's still around.

Sugar Punch requires some pheno hunting but my guess is you'll find a good plant in 1 pack that you want to keep. That said there's some indica influence there. And a lot of variability in the plants in a lot of ways. IN particular in how they grow. Not all of them stretch a lot, which it sounds like you want. Some do stretch a decent amount. I'd say it's 50/50 in that regard.

Out of the 6 I ran I found 3 keepers. One I did not keep due to the clone dying when I got sick. It was the best one, but it did not stretch too much. The other two stretched a lot. One was golf ball buds the other more like colas. Golf ball finished in around 7 weeks, SSH Cola pheno closer to 12. So there's a lot of variability.

If you're willing to hunt you'll find a good plant.

Silverfields every plant was very good for me but my best Sugar Punch plant was superior. They tend to stretch more regularly.

Currently growing Zamaldelica. Only a bit over 6 weeks in so I can't tell you how they're going to be, but I can tell you there are a decent % of true hermaphrodites in the line and they will take a while to finish. I don't expect to harvest any of them before 12 weeks although it's possible. One I expect will end up like a 16 weeker... but who knows.

I also have a Sannies Jack in flower right now and another about to be put into flower.

Sweet Skunk has some killer phenotypes (from PeakseedsBC) that are all in the head.

There are a lot of options out there.

That one Sugar Punch plant I lost was definitely one of those plants I'd love to have again. Which is why I bought 6 more packs of Sugar Punch. But I also feel like I owed to other lines to see what they had to offer. Despite being great smoke, it wasn't as ceiling free and tolerance free as I'd like. It was a step down from the Bright Green happy weed of my youth in that respect. Which I suspect was a Skunk x Haze for the record or a pure Haze.

All of these Haze polyhybrids require some level of selection. Just FYI. SSH from MNS - you will need to run a pack likely to find a winner. He will tell you as much. But a winner will be outstanding. And so on and so forth.

Currently eyeballing my NYC Haze x Jack from Chimera. These might be it for me. The reports on it are pretty unreal. Hempdepot has packs right now, if you want a pack I'd be couriering that cash ASAP because they sold out in 10 minutes on SeedBoutique. I think less than that even.

Thanks, you Evil Genius! I think that that takes Killing Fields out of the picture. I may go for SP and Jack, then. Regarding the Chimera seeds, ordering from Hempdepot is quite the bother with the money transfer, since I live in South America. So I only order from sites that accept credit cards. It sounds lovely though. I searched quite a lot reviews, and some, unfortunately, seem to be pure copy paste, which I find to be a bit hard to trust. I mean: Why would the same guy copy paste the same wonderful review on several sites, without adding any photos or useful specifics? Thats why I decided to go for some Sannie stuff. He seems to be getting great reviews for several years now, so thats why I opted for him. Besides, my 2x3 ft makes me not wanting to deal with regular seeds. Have you tried his Jack?

Hey Evil Genius, where can you get Chimera's Gear in the US ? I want to try their Mental-Floss

Nope, don't have any experience with any of these strains... I'm interested though, all I ever hear about Sannie's are positive reviews~

I bought two 5-packs of Sugar Punch a while back, but have only grown out 2 of them with a 3'rd that was just germinated. The two that I grew out and smoked were not all that impressive IMO. Granted it's a very small sample size, but I have a theory that maybe OGE can chime in on:

I think there may be some issues with one of the parents of this cross. I heard all of the glowing reports and decided to get in on some Sugar Punch. I had to wait forever to get some because right around that time there were 2 separate instances where Sannie had failed attempts at pollinating the mother. I'm no breeder, but that struck me as odd. I'm really wondering if he is now using an inferior sibling of one of the parents to make this cross?? Hopefully I'm wrong and I find a gem or two in the remaining 8 seeds..... but the first two i grew were average at best. Certainly not a very Sativa buzz.

Thanks, man! Im definitely not looking for some average stuff. For that Id just buy any cheap, indica yielding strain. I want some greeeeat sativa smoke! Order of priority would be:

1: Strong and clear/euphoric head high
2: Good taste
3: Yield
4; Flower time
One is the most important, fourth is the least important.

Try Sensi Seed's NL x Haze. Expensive as hell, but the clear Haze shines through and dominates the cut-through HIGH. We grew BCSC's version of it 20 yrs ago, and man... Still haven't found anything better - to date. Another great one is Kali Mist (serious seeds).

Someone mentioned it above, but Sweet Skunk might be a good candidate for you. Peak Seeds is supposed to have a real nice one but they don't take credit card. There are other breeders that sell this strain like Next Generation. Their's is called Island Sweet Skunk.

Never grown it, but I have smoked it and it is a very nice sativa for sure.

I would say if you are going with Sannies... try their Blue Hammer F2. ITs not femenized and you will have to search for a nice pheno but I got one that has a berry taste with a strong hazey high. gets you right between the eyes...with a little body buzz. nice yield, 9.5 weeks

Killing Fields is in my top 5 as well. The pheno I was running wasnt the most potent strain, by far, but was still potent. I could smoke it daily for months and still get just as high from it as I did when I would first started smoking. The buzz was long lasting, maybe not IN YOUR FACE, but you would be content doing whatever you were doing and not even thinking about getting high.
The trichomes did not turn amber, they turned purple and very dark maroon. Unfotunately I had to do a clean out a couple of years ago and that was one of the plants that was cleaned out. Fortunately, I used it to cross with a really nice male plushberry after a 5 pack of plushberry were all male. I have grown out the f1's twice, and started pheno hunting the f2s looking for something special. The f1s were all very solid plants and liked by everyone who tried it.

The Sugar Punchs have I grown out have been potent, and extremely flavorful but I just dont like the buzz that much. I cant describe it, muchless point to what I dont like about it, but it just isnt my type of high.

Hehe, she really came all that way just to tell me that? hehe, Ill look that strain up! Cool, guys. Nice with so many different inputs in one thread. Definitely, a lot of people seem to be looking for the same kind of high. I have second thoughts about the Sugar Punch as well. Last year I had a sativa landrace outside, which unfortunately had to be cut early, because a neighbor was cutting branches... So much for private property. Damn, I just cant decide, and I have to! Last crop was Green Poison from Sweet Seeds, and as much as I like to grow stuff that is easy and fiinishes fast, I dont lilke the indica stuff all that much. Im currently looking at Sensi's Super Silver Haze #9 and NL#5 x Haze. Seems like good candidates as well. I just dont know. It is so hard to see through all the advertising and bollocks, which is why it is so nice to hear from the lot of you.

A few that would be on my dream list just off the top:

Kali Mist, Ghost Train Haze, Super Silver Haze...

C99 female is verifiable as awesome, along with surprisingly, Utopia Haze from Barney's farm....The high was among the best I have every experienced, extreme well being and happy euphoric feeling..

Good Luck!

I haven't tried that kali mist yet but I am droolin over it already from the descriptions. I just don't know if I can take care of her from start to finish. That is a long time not to burn her or under feed her or find bugs making their way to her. I forget the flowering time but someone was saying like 12+ weeks. like 16-20 maybe?

C99 I am trying out for the first time and I can say one thing, she is vigorous, very very good plant so far in veg. I am looking forward to hopefully an amazing sativa hybrid if I do things right.

I gave away barneys farm liberty haze because I don't trust barney.

[Forgot to add that Sannies Jack F8 is friggin amazing, I loved it so much I saved 3 seeds and I now have 1 seedling going again. You definitely can't go wrong with sannies he does his shit right!
