What Parts of the Plant can be Saved and Used for BHO Runs?

I recently got a 60-100x microscope, and have been looking at some of the leaves that have come off my plants. Almost everything I pull off the plant, including fan leaves and other dying leaf bits, seem to have globs of THC on them! (Or at least I think its THC)

So this prompts my question, what parts of the plant should I save? Also, how do I save them? Do I just take the leaves, let them dry, and then run them like I would with bud?

Thanks everyone!

I just keep the spear leaves that trim off of buds and the little fluffy popcorn nugs. That's all.

I've been tempted to keep some bigger fan leaves that I've seen with a bit of trich frost on them... and even some stems with same... because I hate wasting anything.

But for what you would get off them is hardly worth the bother. IMO

pretty much all the leaves can be used. obviously the fans give less yield but it is possible to make potent oil with them.

I use all my fan leaf oil for edibles but it is definitely smokable. not as tasty. I wouldnt bother with stems for me, it has been a waste of time and effort.

I dont care about the quality of the BHO really. I'm just interested in using every bit of the plant I can.

Once the leaves are cut off the plant, I'm just saving them in a mason jar and letting them dry out. Is that the right way to save them? Just wait till they are dry and crispy, then do a bho run with them?

(Or I've also heard of "fresh frozen"? What is that?)

We've extracted concentrates from the stems, fan leaves, sugar leaves, and buds. Usually we keep the stem and fan leaf oil separate from the others, because they make terrific topicals, but give more of a charley horse between the ears than a high. They are also low yielders, that take the same amount of work to extract as prime bud, for a lot less yield, making the oil more expensive per gram to extract, than concentrates from the sugar leaves and buds.

fresh frozen is exactly what it sounds like. I prefer to run my material dry. bone dry. and then after its super dry I freeze the material I will be using in a closed mason jar. in my expirience the more moisture cpntent your material has the lower the potential yield can be.
