Urea based nutes literally means it's made using urine. This is because pure urine is a very good blend of NPK, however, the human body contains many chemicals depending on what and when you eat. That's why you don't want to go pissing in your reservoir or soil pot. What's the difference? The amount and purity of the urine used in nutrients are processed and measured.
Read your ingredient content and if it says urea anywhere it is made with urine! Keep in mind that in nutrient form, it really can be good for your plant.
If that sounds gross just remember, the best fertilizer is pure shit, lol.

Well if you are really on a budget and your local hydro stores sell Peters/Scotts/etc... You can get small bags of

5-50-17 (first week or so) its called Root and Bloom
20-20-20 (in the veg cycle)
10-20-30 (in the flower cycle followed by 5-50-17 at the end)
MKP Mono Potassium Phosphate as the bloom booster
Unsulphured mollases as the sugars or just get a bud buster and gring up normal sugar.

GH Maxi Grow and Bloom are cheap.

Just get a well know brand veg, bloom, and micro liquid nutes. You dont need any additives, but having some liquid ferilizer around will help your yield.

A few brands that will work just fine would be like botanicare, fox farms, house and garden, advanced nutrients, canna, soul synthetics, roots organics, nectar of the gods, green planet, heavy 16. (No paeticular order)

Like i said, you only need the base formulas to get results. A lot of the suppliments are for hobbyists or those who can dial a plant in.

You def can use plain water and soil, but you will run into some defeciencies down the road. I have done it, and it makea great smoke that hits super smooth, but you wont get half the yield your first time as using half strength nutes every other watering alternating with plain water.

Keep it simple the first round or two and youll learn a ton this firat round.

Good luck bro

Super soil + bacterial and fungal inoculation, can = very good yields with little to no nutrients added at all.

Would still suggest some teas for flavor

This is totally wrong. The urea found in miracle grow and jacks is manufactured synthetically. You're going to have a hard time finding urea based nutes made with urine.

Urea also doesn't have a good blend of NPK. It only has N.

Well fuck me. I'll be the first to admit when I'm wrong.
I swear I just read recently about the urine thing, anyway, I am always down for being corrected when it is positive and helpful.
I'll be sure and do more research on a subject before posting next time.
Thanks for correcting that churchhaze.
