Hey everyone, just 2 weeks into flower with a grow with a friend but looking to do my own next time as he is very set in his ways, only using canna flores and molasses for now ( he reluctantly let me add molasses ! ) Ive been thinking about using the dutch pro line up but also really like the idea of going organic, but then that leaves me no clue as to where to start lol, I would have to research organic more. My other friend is trying like hell to get me on advanced but fancy bottles and a hefty price hasnt convinced me. I know there will be alot of opinion thrown around ( good ! ) but can any1 share any thoughts on taste/ yield on organic vs synthetic, not as botherd about yield but wouldnt mind the extra oz or 2 lol. Cheers peeps :bigjoint:

I think you should go truly organic water only supersoil and never mix any nutrients ever again but first let me discuss bottled nutrients, the most expensive form of growing. Organic nutrients really only refers to the source of the Nitrogen, although they're are other organic compounds what the plant actually needs are in the form of chemical salts. If you want to use organic bottled nutrients just use Botanicare it's high quality but not high price like Advanced Nutrients. I've grown using many methods and I've grown using many nutrients with soils but I've never had healthier plants than when I went truly organic so let's talk about that.

The basic principals are compost your leaves, grass, rock phosphate, fishmeal, kelp meal, egg shells, etc in your compost pile and let it "cook" like this

Here's a writeup on the entire process

Here's a member making additives:

Thanks brother, when I said organic I meant fully, not bottled "organic" I know the little word tricks they use haha ;). Advanced nutes reminds me of energy drinks (style of container) pure poison haha. Thanks for the advice man.

So, OMRI listed? Or just what some organism excreted as waste? Or does ground up plant matter count as well?
