It depends. Mine are showing there sex right now. Usually when the plants about 2 months in it will start showing it's sex outdoors.

Sorry, are you asking when they begin to flower or when you can identify sex? You are correct, plants will begin to flower when the days start to get shorter. But pre flowers can be identified quite early, within 8-10 weeks.
