Just like the title say, i was wondering what mediums can be used for Hydro besides those Hydroton rocks? My local hydro store is all out until about next monday and i'm trying to get my setup up and running today. Thanks in advance.

If its a small op and you don't mind disposing of your medium after each harvest then a fytocell or perlite is good. It is sold in a big and chunky variety at my local shop and is a similar size to hydroton or you can use the small stuff but should put some rockwoll flock in the bottom of the pots so it doesnt float out.

you don't need anything else if you have rockwool cubes and the slabs. just start in the 1" cubes, into the 8" and those on slabs. supports entire grow. Leave the plastic on the rockwool.

My rockwool did not come with the plastic on it. Not sure what a slab is as far as a hydro setup goes.

Are your rock wool cubes just wool cubs with nothing around the sides of them at all? Are these just regular cube shaped rockwool?

When i got them from the hydro store they were all connected in rows of 5, so i took a knife and cut them into individual cubes beause i was only doing 6 plants for my soil grow. So i ended up having like 19 extras and then i figured i would try and make a Bubbleponics just for experimentation which is were i'm at now.
