High All,

I have a closet with the following dimensions; width: 37in
depth:24in
height:39in

My question is the following, I want to grow some lowryders and I want to know what would be the best lighting for my closet, the only lamps I can use are CFl's(24 watt)and energy saving bulbs(15 watt) the only thing I can get here where I live, I don't want to order lamps because of the cost. How many lights will I need to buy to have a good crop????

Thanks

you want full coverage of your plant if your using CFLs. they dont have good light penetration like a HPS bulb would have. get a good cross of 2/3 red spectrum CFL to 1/3 blue spectrum to employ full coverage. CFL lighting is best for veg but you can still pull down some decent numbers when flowering

Do you think 3 CFLs are enough for my closet?? I ordered some diesel ryder seeds from Dr.chronic and I really want to grow them good. Is there a big difference in using HPS or CFL for lowryders?

Thanks for the help:blsmoke:

only if you plan on doing 2 plants at a time.
you could start them(all 10,I assume)w/ 3 lights but after a week or 2,add a couple more & when flowering,add a couple more.
the more light, the more/better the bud.

3 cfls can work but the more light = a bigger yield i use 8 cfls for one plant good luck

I'm planning on growing 8 at a time, do you suggest I use 64 CFLs????
sounds excessive to me also.
after seedling,I would go w/ 1 more than the # of plants you have & put 1 on each side of the plants like this.(looking down from above)
L P L P L P L P L P L

when flowering ,I would add more, like this

...L....L...L.....L....L
L P L P L P L P L P L
...L....L....L....L... L

or this

L L L L L
.P P P P
L L L L L
