Assuming adequate ventilation! 6 plants! Thanks!

I would also like to remind you all of the power of reflection.

It makes a big big difference.

I assume you are using some type of dwc tote system that has six spots. The space you are growing in is awful small for six plants unless you are planning on growing them pretty small. As far as lighting is concerned, I really like the Kessil H150 LED. This light is great for micro grows and you can find them online for $99 when they originally retailed for $300. The light is really intense in a 1x1 area and only draws 36 watts. They claim it is equivalent to a 150 watt hps, but it is probably closer to a 100 watt hps. The Kessil runs much cooler that an hps that's for sure. I also use 2 T5's for side lighting and a couple of 23 watt cfls overhead in my cabinet which is the same height as your cab and just slightly wider.

lol, well 6 plants in a 1 ft x1 ft area is just going to be a bitch. Possible, but total PITA. And LED's r your choice if can afford.

Its a cash crop 3.0 grow box im going to replace the light with a super high efficiency one that can support pounds from clones.

Which LED is best and uses around 150 or 300 true watts? Thanks everyone Ill include you all in this if you help

Maybe I should build an led grow light? Anyone know any good methods?
You could do two Cree CXA 3070 modules. The way I would do it, is run each @ 37v x 1.4amps = 52 watts. About $65 or so for each module. Then you can add some reflectors from LEDIL.

Otherwise, LED's for such a small setup will struggle to penetrate @3'. Hell anything will, those Kessil are nice, but 36w's will yield you just over an ounce from six plants 1gm/w, if you can do better, why are you on here :) A small HPS needs crazy amounts of venting, CFL's would be a waste of time and effort for that amount of penetration but a DIY led setup could give you the most potential and one of the more cheaper, but powerful and tried and true methods. :peace: Especially with lenses for added penetration. Efficiency, less heat and PAR, tough to beat that combo.

I have a cab that is roughly about the same dimensions and I only use about half of it with LED's because I always LST in a scrog style. It's just not worth any light source to penetrate 3 feet with such a small footprint. Shit gets in the way. Comes out lovely as a 70w LED grow though.

I say go with cfls you can veg out a little longer, then flower em out with that amount of plants lollipop them and definitely get some side lighting as well as something hanging down the middle training will be the key to your maximum potential for smaller areas .. Aim for the moon even if you miss you land among the stars my friend ;) good luck happy growing!

They aren't 54 watts, maybe half that.

It;s a piece of shitzkski, buy with caution.

Phillips has way better ones for about the same price. At least you can know what diodes are being used.

The diodes here aren't all that efficienct for cannabis if they are even the correct nm.

Guys, guys, guys, for umpteenth time

mj needs a FULL spectrum of light to give you its' finest genetic potential and bud result

That comes from WHITE leds, not a bunch of monochrome spectrums crammed onto a PCB

Most whites have all the blue mj needs

Once buds set, mj consumes mass quantities of red (600-650) @ 40% of the total wattage

Adding that too soon will cause stretch
