what is the difference between light bulbs?

i have a havells heat lamp 120 i just wanted to know if this is the same thing as a metal halide or any kind of HID? what ever.... and if not is it no good for growing?

Everything depends on the spectrum. Do you know what spectrum your heat lamp is?

Do not use heat lamps .Dont worry about burning your plant, worry about burning down your abode .

Nah, not like HID. It's more comparable to COB LEDs.
