Hello to those looking in,

My question is on the veg cycle,

I have 400w to play with within my veg room i'm looking for good strong growth in the 4-6 weeks period of vegging.

I see a Envirolite at 250w

Or a Metal Halide Lamp at 400w

Or a dual Grolux at 400w

What is the best one to get for good quality growth in vegging only.

For years I swore by metal halide alone for vegging and high pressure sodium alone for flowering but after trying dual arc metal halide/high pressure sodium bulbs I tend to believe it is a better choice. My results improved.

As for wattage that will at least in part depend on the area of coverage you will have and also your ability to vent hot air.

As LED prices continue to fall, I'm becoming more convinced they're perfectly suited for veg. I plan to set up a veg chamber when I can scrape together the cash and I think I'll be going the LED route.

Are you saying that it's better to use a dual spectrum lamp like the grolux for both veg and flower?

And that you got better results?
