What is the avg dry yield on autos?

Hi, I’m interested to know about how much dry weight bud you successfully harvested from your autos?

I’m a newbie, on my first grow I used some (4) 10W led bulbs. I know it’s a joke. It was just an experiment. By the way the plant liked it. Harvested 17g dry. :(( small yield but according to the light I used, many mistakes I made and for the first time I wouldn’t say it’s bad.

It was a blueberry.

I read a few articles already. Some people harvesting around 50-60g dry, but Ive seen yield over 200g on a single plant.

So what is the reallity? :)

I’d say I adverage 3-4oz per plant.
I also top and lst my autos.

I have one now that has taken for ever to flower. But it’s huge with a tun of tops. I’d guess 5+oz.

Yep, lots of variables.. You could pop 100 seeds from the same plant and get many variations in height, yield etc.. I'd say that in a 2 gallon pot I typically get 1.5- 2 ounces.. I don't pay my autos much attention though.. They are sort of "bonus weed" for me.

I average 3 ounces per auto on cheap low yield strains but when i pay for good genetics like dutch passion seeds, cup winners, i average 5 ounces a plant

I find if your not pulling an ounce per gallon of medium, your doin something wrong, lowest yield i ever got of an auto was 40 grams and i was pissed off haha

all depends on the size of the plant but I would not expect anywhere near 200 grams. Most likely 20-70 grams with more light. You need to get yourself a proper grow light

I only grow for personal use. If I get enough good bud off my three autos I grow at a time to last me 10 weeks to next harvest, I’m happy as a sissy in a wiener factory. I’m actually at just over 8 weeks from seedling to now and run my lights on all spectrums 24 hours a day. Pistils are 20% amber and trichomes are still clear.

Thanks for the answers guys.

I wanted to show you my 3 weeks old little one.
Remember I’m a newbie, I think it is going well but I need your input too :)

I was doing lst, but from now on I just want her to grow. I didn’t top, as I read it’s not good when you top an auto.

Any advice/suggestion?

Doing lst does not prevent growth. It brings all the bud sites even.

It looks great to me. Keep doing what you are doing. Only HUGE advice I can give you is big lights matter. :bigjoint: GL

Best way to LST is to use some chopsticks or something like that and use it like the board you tie a broken leg to (I forgot the english for it now) this way you can just keep adding more ties and stop the tips curling up again.
First thing to master in an even canopy is not letting any part get higher than the rest.
Second is identifying any new growth that will not reach the canopy and not contribute anything to yield and taking it off before it even grows.

I have a 900w VIPARSPECTRA on, but I have another same one too, would it be too much light if I put both into work?

How you can identify the unnecessary new growth???

I’m using slim soft tie to do the lst.

I’m not familiar with that light. If you can manage the temperature, throw as much light as you can at them.

Regarding the new growth - anything not getting light cut off. All the little bitty buds down low need to go. Leave the big fan leaves alone.

They are really cool lights, running on 30-31 Celsius. I bought some pc 120mm cooler fan and placed it on the top for more cooling, it is around 26 Celsius now. They run on 26-28 Celsius. Thanks for the help, I’ll run both then :))

I too almost all my autos.
Wait until you get a decent about of pistils coming out.

I always top when they need to be watered. Then give them a soak and let them do their thing.

Yet to have negative effects from topping a auto.
