newbie questions ~

what is the average time it takes for a mature plant to start showing bud? im sure it has to do with the strain, but im just looking for an average...or is it drastically different depending on the strain?

and also what is the average time you keep a plant vegging?

Whenever you want it to bud it will. Its all dependent on what light cycle you have running. You use 12 hours light and 12 hours dark (12/12) to get your plant to flower/bud. The longer you leave it in vegitation stage the more buds and more potent it gets, same with flowering.

Avg is probably about 4-5 weeks veg and 3-5 weeks flowering.

Here is how a plant flowers. It will show sex and little buds will show in 3 days to 2 weeks. Then the plant will grow the format for the buds. Each branch tip will grow 6 inches to 3 feet with the nodes close together.(this is called the stretch period) Then after 2 weeks to 4 weeks of the stretch the plant will then fill in with buds at each node. It takes about 6 to 10 weeks for the plant to finish flowering.

Problem is this plant was in the open gettin all the sun it could just 2 weeks ago. Since i had to move into the woods it hardly gets 3 hours of soon now. It comes up a little past my waste and is startin to sho white hairs. Is this because i fucked up the light cycle? Will it hurt the potency of the bud or just not yield as much?
