What is "job creation" and how can government affect it ?

If you read the financial news or listen to anyone talk about the state of the economy, you almost certainly have heard about the virtues of “job creation”. Politicians are always talking about how many jobs this or that program they’ve spearheaded has created. The Bureau of Labor Statistics will release data saying that the economy added several hundred thousand jobs in the past month.

The way the term “job” is bandied around these days creates the impression that a job is a product, like a car or a computer. There is a perception that by pushing the right levers and dials, government policy can “create jobs” – the same way that a car company can produce a car. This ridiculous and false perception is responsible for numerous popular economic fallacies. (the foregoing was excerpted from an article posted at Strike the Root on 3/23/15)

Discuss, etc.

This is your interpretation, which may I add, is way the fuck off from being actual rational thought.

What's there to discuss? Government policy CAN and DOES influence job creation. End of story.

Is there a difference between a private sector job and a "public" sector job and how does each affect other people ?

Oh, like Jesus and Mitt Romney?
Not a Romney fan, he's kind of a dick. Jesus seemed like an Anarchist though, and probably would have rejected a government check as well. I kind of like his spirit.

Changing the rules in the middle of debate. Shame.
So, you can't offer any analysis of how private sector and public sector jobs differ in their formation and their impact? Pity.

Robroy believes in Job Creators.
I had hoped you would be able to state your positions and beliefs, rather than guessing what another persons are or assigning your beliefs of what you say they are to them on a pre-emptive basis. That's a little shallow and fails to create an exchange of ideas.

"Pay to Ceasar what is Ceasar's"
He may have nuanced his answer due to the gun (spear?) at his back.

Some people interpret that as he meant don't give Ceasar jack shit, since Ceasar didn't deserve jack shit.

Anyhow, I liked his kindness, but that doesn't mean I think he had wings and could fly around or gave his cell phone number to the Pope.
