What is flushing ?

Yes nutrients are stored, sometimes in excess in the plant. However "flushing" (not feeding the plant until it starts using up its very needed reserves) is not needed if they were not over fed in the first place.those nutrients that are pulled out of the leaves are needed, ESPECIALLY during the last two weeks when the buds rapidly pack on weight. Yellowing leaves don't perform as well as green leaves.

Feed responsibly amd you won't have to sacrifice taste or yield ;-)
ya Racerboy is right, the difference in a non flushed plant and a flushed plant is like driving a shitty honda vs a ferrari

the only reason i flush a plant is to help it finish quicker, outdoors. The rainy moldy season comes and i need the plants to throw up sugar before hand, and starving nutes is one way to get it up there. I usually very slowly get the plant to fade, by slowly backing off

otherwise inside, where i can keep things under control I keep things as green as possible straight up until harvest, and harvest in the morning right before lights on, or after a 3-7 day dark period.

other times I will chop off the tops and let the bottoms go an extra 3-5 weeks or so, this is my favorite thing to do

i've never had them, but what i know about them, yes, they'll fuck everything right up.. they can be a real bitch to get rid of from all i've heard and read about them as well, especially for flowering plants..

i'm not so sure you indeed have mites, being you said you've seen the spots for some time now, as i'd think if they've been there that long, the plants would look much worse than a few yellowed bottom leaves, and i would think you'd be seeing some webbing by now as the infestation took hold.. i could be wrong of course..

i completely agree with u. Like if u check my other post u can see them flowering at day 17 . They look 100 percent fine and I've had them spots the whole time. Seen 0 evidence other then that to tell me it's mites, but could be wrong. Idk I feel like it was mites I would've seen some webs by now like you said

but should I just let those leaves die off ?

you WANT to agree with him, be 100% positive and get a $3 mag. glass. I HAVE had mites, and that is exactly the damage they cause.

Lol no I have done a bit of research now and I'm 90 percent sure I don't got them . It tells me here that mites are the size of a poppy seed.. Don't see any poppyseed or black specks under the leaves... Unless they are microscopic. Ill check with a glass and will let u kno

most spidermites can be seen, but some are microscopic, like broadmites, but you would see other damage if it was them. as far as the yellowing on your leaves, what nutes are you using? where do you get your water from?

I let tap water sit out for 48 hours then water, I do not kno the brand of nutrients I'm using,

however I have been using the same nutes in veg and in flowering . I have been using an organic sea weed based nutrient. Not sure the name it came in a big jug ,

i believe I have a difeency in one if the mobile nutrients because it started at the bottom of the plant

So much back and forth on this subject. As a noob it certainly seems it will help rid of any accumulated nutes in the plant. Flushing might not be the right term I think, not sure what I would call it, but it seems by not giving the plant any nutes and just water this will force her to use up all the reserves and built up nutes to sustain her life.

I like the idea of not smoking/vaping nutrients which it seems you will most certainly do if you keep feeding her right up until harvest. Anyway thats my 02 cents, thanks for reading. Oh I plan on "flushing" when the time comes.

Ugh I skipped a few posts, how in the fu*k did this chain get into mites? Can we please get back on topic!

what you're talking about is not what most people refer to as flushing..

when it comes to flushing, most people say to dump three times the amount of soil in water through a medium, so in a 5 gallon pot, you'd be dumping 15 gallons of water through it..
