What is better for autos, soil or hempy bucket grow?

I am getting set to grow 2 red poison autos from sweet seeds. I will be using a 324w T5 light or a 300w LED light. I will be growing in a closet. I was wanting to know what type of grow is better for autos? Would it be better with fox farm ocean forest soil or just do a hempy bucket with 100% perlite? What would be a better yield?

Straight Fox farm "ocean forest" runs a lil hot for auto seedlings... I would do like a 50/50 of Ocean forest and light warrior... The thing with gettting big autos is root space... they have very limited veg time...and the moment that tap roots reaches bottom of its container ur maxed out on size.... so unless you do like the tier method I would start them in final pot... I personally use soil in air pots and have great results! Your yield will depend upon ur skill with nutes etc... LST I highly recommend you do this..this will greatly improve the yield.. no topping or super cropping.. causes stress.. and thats the last thing you want from a plant that you in know way control the veg time.. you want it spending all its energy into growth not repair... Hope That helps! :)

listen to dude, he's got some good ideas...the thing with autos is not to think too much...you don't have enough time! by the way, what light are you going to use?

PS - Love your avatar!

hello thank you. I am not really sure just yet. I am thinking of a 324w T5 or a 300w LED. I am leaning too the T5.

Yes, hempy if all you are after is a bigger yield. Soil is good for a nice flavor profile, and hempy allows maximum, less obstructive root growth.

How about a hybrid hempy using a soil cap?
Do a perlite hempy with the seed planted in an inch or two of soil on top of the perlite... Best of both worlds for your auto?

i don't really have any experience with this but it might work. If you check the World of Hempy thread there are few there that do this with success.
