What have your experience been with selling to dispensaries?

Just wondering how that process has worked for anyone willing to share the info with me. I would love to hook up with a dispensary cuz patient to patient is some BS so far; for every good, like-minded patient I seem to meet there is 1000 dinks thinking it's 85' and we're doing the drug dealer thing like we're going to hang out and watch cartoons or something. I wanna help out cuz I'm good at growing but seriously, removing the human element is a great service they do for us in seperating the consumer from the source.

they need to bring in money to make a profit so they charge more for what they have and charge that to patients in the end. what you are saying is that you want people to pay more so they dont act like drug dealers and use dispensaries?
I called up a disp. once and told them I had some stuff they might be interested in. they looked at it and scoped it and gave me an offer, I just laughed and thanked them for their time and walked away.
Dispensaries have to low ball you to make money. If you get connected to a compassion club or know of one that has a "members Only" night, then thats what you want. leave the dispensaries out of the equation and deal straight with the patients.

jesus, what I'm actually saying is that dispensaries are useful to seperate me the grower from the general buying public at large. I have 2 patients that are cool guys and we have an agreement and we both stick to it. It was HARD to find these 2 and I'd like to max out with myself and 5. The dispensary is useful in keeping me away from the straight up douche bags I run into at the dispensary. I'm talking rude, trash talking, loud-mouthed dudes you'd swear must have got a card for missing teeth. I go to dispensaries around town to see where my quality is and to taste new flavors and see what's the next strain I want to try and grow and it's a damn zoo in there. While I see them jacking up prices I can also see that most of these people paying for it are not really sick, and their attitude has probably been the thing keeping them there buying and not finding a caregiver like myself. That's why I want dispensares-I'll never say you're not sick enough for herb-I don't see that as my place; people who are in need should be able to get a caregiver like me that supplies for very cheap the people who are sick and in medical need or just can't afford it as medicine. These other cats, I say sell it to them at a jacked up price to subsidize those with cancers etc. cuz it's still their right, in my mind to use cannibis, but I am much less sympathetic to ther pricing issues. there is always the alternative for everyone with a card-grow your own. Guess what I'm looking for in this thread is how are new growers treated aproaching the dispensary to sell and how horriible are the prices they pay. End all for me on this thread would be a reply like "Go to xxxx on main st. in kalamazoo MI and they will pay well for good product and won't jerk you around" I'm getting the funny feeling I won't get that reply though.....

Not all dispensaries will low ball you like that. You have to ask around go to a few different places checkout their selection and start a convo with your bud tender " hey what do you guys do about buying up overages?". I've seen dispensaries buy up quality meds for 250 an ounce. Which in most cases is the price a dealer gets from his guy to go and sell. So if you have the right meds and know the right dispensary you don't have to take such a finacial hit. Sure you may not make as much money to support yourself but if you would rather play it safer then meeting random card holders who violate the law. At least with a dispensary they don't buy your stuff then go down the street and get pulled over and then get busted cause they already had the max amount of medicine on them before they bought from you. This can get you in tons of trouble... That's why dispensaries make you sign something so they can't be held liable for you being over the limit. Life is about risks and if you would feel more comfortable with compassions clubs of dispensaries then the random dude on craiglist then I say go for it.
