What else do you grow in your grow room?

Anyone else grow veggies? My mother in law wants to put a tomato plant(s) in my room and my friend wants to grow ghost peppers. Anyone know where I can find out if these and other things will grow well on a cannabis grow cycle? Thanks.

Google.

Most fruit\veg plants are day-neutral (unlike cannabis), so they will grow and bloom with whatever amount of light you give them.

NO TOMATOES!!!!!!! Sorry for yelling but you will ruin your girls so fast with them in there. Tomatoes have a high tendency for mosaic virus, which MJ will pick up very easily and severly threaten your other plants. Pepper plants can be good, garlic is great in little starter pots, makes an excellent pest repellant. I wouldn't put any type of squash, cucumber or other plant that is susiptible to types of mold and mosiac virus.
Companion planting can be benefical for insect control in a growroom and in outdoor grow areas but there is much to learn about what pests and dieseases they are prone to before putting them close to our precious girls.
Good Luck with it

Some vegetables are long day period some are short. This is when it flowers. When it's spring through mid summer the days are increasing in available daylight. From summer to fall, the daylight hours are decreasing and those plants that flower during this time are considered short day period plants.

I would recommend flowering something in your veg room. Like catnip or peas. Peas grow like vines and can be maneuvered out of the way.

And i would suggest something like squash/melons/cucumbers as well in the flower room. Vines can be run along the flooring under the plant canopy and out of the way of the serious crop.

often vegetables come in a neutral day period variety. Those are your autoflower broccoli and such.... Those can go into either room, but I would stay away from plants that will steal your space.

Edit: i don't really suggest squash or pumpkins actually... some reason whiteflies/squashbugs/insects love them more than sugar itself

Hmm companion planting is smart with garlic being near the top of the list for insect repellent but I didnt know that mj could catch mosaic? I thought it was strictly within the solanaceae family which includes tobacco, tomatoes potatoes and eggplant. I could be wrong I've just never heard of cannabis contract mosaic even in grows where mj is planted next to tomates in a veggie garden
