what does indica mean?

    I've seen other plants (not pot) with sativa in their name, so I found out sativa simply means cultivated.
    so what does indica mean, I cant find the answer anywear. the stem indi could mean india, but is that what it means? could somone could somone knows what their taking about, um talk about it?

    really, I'm confused now too. I thought my SSH was a pure sativa and now I heard that it's a mix. I like the sativa traits.

    Sativa's give a nicer high and take longer to mature. Indica's are quick flowering in comparison but the high is described as a couch lock. Personally I like the Sativa better but if your not the most patient person in the world your better off growing a mixed strain.
