What does "bump" mean?

I see ppl post this every now and then. BUMP!!

Just means you're moving the thread up farther on the list.Nothing to say, but you want folks to see the thread.

So basically this a free bump for this thread lol

some forums have a bump option which will allow the thread to move to the top
(you can like press it once every hour or woteva)
but this forum hasn't got anythink like that so your get alot of people saying bump, or people say somin stupid like "lol" instead of saying bump

Yuppers...it just gets your thread into a position to get looked at again by the masses. Some ppl use all kinds of weird configurations of the word too. Bumpiddybump and shit like that
