Or how this thread can go from 1 page to 17 overnight, just because people dislike AN. But meanwhile other threads with legitimate questions go unanswered. Am I the only one that thinks that's fucked up?
No, you are the only one that doesn't see how retarded AN threads are.

"Shitty warm beer" - Beer is supposed to be served at room temperature and hand pulled from casks you idiot.

That ice cold, fizzy weak shite that you pansys drink is called Lager.
Not the same fucking thing at all, what do you think alcoholic beverages were like for the thousands of years before compressed gas came along hmmm?

"Shittier food, god the food suks in England" - And how many 3 Mitchelin starred chefs are in the USA compared to England hmmm?
We have Master Chef and you have Man vs Food! :P
Cask conditioned beer isn't served at room temps but rather cellar temps which is in the mid 50's(f).

Warm beer sucks. I walk into the King of all beer tents, Munich Hofbrau and they serve it COOOLD. The Germans are the King of beers.
France can cook, England can't sorry. Germany can cook . Belgium can cook . England SUKS they can't ,sorry

The food for the common folk is in Merica bitch. Man - v - food. fuck yea. Diner and Dives shit yea. England: Fish and Chips.... pleeeze
The Germans make technically sound beer but it's honestly rather boring compared to what Belgium has been doing for centuries. And while Belgium is still killing it, the American craft beer movement is outpacing the entire world.

If you would have read further you would have seen this.....

"Beer is not served cooooold, lager is served cooooooold.

The Bavarians invented lager many hundreds of years ago, they used a hybrid hops originating from South America and kept the barrels in caves to keep them chilled and bottom fermented them to produce a natural fizz.

Beer is served at cask temperature and hand pulled without gas.
(I was a master bartender for around 20 years)"

When I refer to "room" temp I mean the natural ambient temp of the room the cask is sat in, usually a bare, un-chilled stone room called a "cellar".

If we look at the temps real ale is supposed to be served.....

"Cask Ales

To experience all the smells and tastes that the brewer wants you to, cask ale must be dispensed at the correct temperature. If the beer is too warm unpleasant and unplanned aromas will be given off, too cold and the clean, fresh, vibrant tastes will be lost.

The recommended dispense temperature of the majority of brewers is between 11 - 13°C. Cask Marque audits to a required range of 10-14°C allowing a little leeway.

Some cask ales are meant to be dispensed at lower temperatures, particularly summer beers. These have been specially brewed in order that no chill haze ocurrs at temperatures where other cask ales might be affected.

Standard Lagers & Keg Products
Standard lagers and keg should be dispensed between 5 - 8°C.

Extra Cold Products
The trend these days is towards colder products and many pubs and bars will be using glycol cooling systems and flash coolers in order to dispense 'extra cold' products. These are normally dispensed between 0 - 5°C depending on the equipment.

Bottled Products

Bottled beers should be served at between 4 - 6°C."

.......and then look at the temp in my living room and it says 14°C (the temp in my flowering tent with a 600w is only 20°C), so yes, room temp.

If you live in the middle of Texas and it's blazing then yes I can imagine you'd need to chill your cellar (and air condition your house no doubt), but here and in most of the well established beer producing country's across Europe, no need, build your cellar underground and you're golden no matter where you live, even in summer.

If you don't use AN well I guess you loose out. Your own retarded fault. Just continue to troll for information that you'll never get right

Humor me, please. Who is at the forefront?
Well our unpasturised, live ales made with traditional kit and methods are better than those in the USA for a start.
We have a better climate for naturally conditioning the ale too.

The BEST real ale producing country in the world would be subjective (English ale is not the same as Irish ale is not the same as German ale is the not the same as Polish ale) unless there we're some kind of unifying contest, but there isn't.

We have more breweries per head than anybody else so that helps too, with most of those being real ale.

Sorry bud, in terms of innovation, the UK is at the bottom, right above Germany. Are you guys making brett-infused Belgian-inspired ales aged in sauvignon blanc barrels? Nope.

Oh, my girlfriend wants to thank you guys for the cider though ;).

Sorry, just caught this above...

Just because you haven't turned your heat on doesn't mean the high 50's (f) in your living room is considered 'room temperature'. I could open my window too and get this room down to the 40s, is that room temperature too? ;)
