this is my set up right now i just mounted a fan on the wall pointing on the light and i got another fan in there and the temp is set at 75-80 all day.oh and im using a 400 watt hps i got from high tech garden supply.

and these seedlings are very young second day of 18/6 life cycle

the seedlings appear to be doing fine no different than the last time i tried growing except the stems are getting way stronger than last time fast

yeah those sprouts are stretching, go to home depot and buy some cheap chain and some S hooks that way you can adjust very easily

I agree also. 3 feet away max for seedlings.Vegging under HPS is already gonna stretch them some so try to keep that lamp as close as possible. Also I would put a temp guage between the lamp and the plant tops as well as a fan. Peace... Snuff
P.S If you can, hang the lamp with the sides of the bulb facing the broader side of the closet. Not so important right now but soon you will need every drop of light the lamp can put out. You're on the right track for sure. FF products are great.

i just took a measurment and the light is only about three and a half inches away. my closet isnt really that tall but i was plamnning on tying down one and topping the other i kind of wanted to learn more this time around but i got plenty of seeds left i could sprout
