thats the thing there isn't any lack of quality and for 100 dollars for what costs 400 for gorilla
You're dispensing bad information. Gorilla tents cost what they do because of the quality. There is no tent currently available that is as good as a Gorilla at even half the price, let alone a quarter of the price as you're suggesting.

To the op: Gorilla or Secret Jardin. I just recently picked up my first Gorilla. It's really nice, but I can't speak for longevity, as i got it within the past 6 months. My oldest Secret Jardin is at least 5 years old, and the zippers still work like brand new.

well when you are talking 'needs' vs. 'looks' both are cars.. the question for the vehicle would have been what brand car to get to work? thats like saying the camaro wouldn't work some people say so you feel more comfortable buying the lambo. why would i buy a lambo to get to work when i have a much more cost effective way that works well? each to their own though i don't go buy the most expensive thing just to rule out personal experience
He said he wanted the best and money isn't an issue.

Now, if he was shopping cars with these parameters, would you seriously suggest a Camaro over any 100K plus super car?

i was really surprised by how nice the vivosun tent i got is, i have a 2x4 but they have a 3x3 on Amazon for 95$ right now. The materials are thick, no leaks, it's very sturdy i store stuff on top of it, there's a window on the front, storage bag inside. And the zippers, they are smooth as fuckin eggs i shit you not. I'd never recommend the knock off 4x4 i have though it does the job, but that vivosun was all around solid.

i bought (and have since sold) a cheaper 4x4, and although it served its purpose, there were light leaks, zipper issues, it wasn't as tall, and the material was thin and actually creased in some spots.

i bought my gorilla grow tent in the beginning of 2014 and is still going strong.

i have the 4x8, lots of ports, viewing windows, doors on both long sides of the tent, and great zippers... i'm over 200lbs and it supports my weight. if money isnt an issue, and you want great quality, and the dimensions fit then have at hit i say

Gorilla and Secret Jardin tents are nice but way overpriced. Apollo and Ipower are anyone's best bet for a tent imo

The Apollo doesn't have the quality that the Ipowers have. But I threw Apollo in there because for $80 bucks I got a tent that worked great for 3years and still counting. The Ipower tents I have are so well built I cant tell the difference between them and my old gorilla tent. Just saying for penny's on the dollar you can't beat the quality

Minor pinhole light leaks around the zippers is an over hyped issue. As long as the leaks are there from the beginning, the plants are acclimated to it. It's when leaks they aren't accustomed to happen after they are already into flowering that causes issues. It takes a certain intensity of light, over a set period of time to interrupt flowering. If the light leaks are that bad, the tents probably falling apart.

It's why outdoor plants don't go all screwy because of the moon, or street lights that have always been around, they are acclimated to it.

Most major light leaks are around vents, and ports that have wiring/ plumbing/ etc. running through them.
I know this thread is old, but Thank you! It's so internet overblown the way people act about light leaks. I bought a tent on amazon a few years ago for about $80. it's a small one (3x3) but it works fantastic. Sure, the zipper is fraying a little bit. And when I'm in the basement with the lights off, I can see light. I also Keep the back air vent open and my wife sometimes forgets to the turn the basement lights off at night. You know what that did to my plants?? NOTHING. People just regurgitate, and overblow what they read online. People need to step back, and remember this plant is a fucking weed.
