Just because they do it doesn't make it correct. Nutrient companies will sell you anything YOU THINK YOU NEED, whether they work with your system or not.
I agree that A LOT of products out there are unnecessary and just marketing BS. But some actually do work. I know Botanicare's PBP has it in both grow and bloom and GH uses it as well as other very reputable companies... that's all I'm sayin.

Don't bother with the brands...what's important is the NPK,those three numbers on your product! I would suggest reading about the different stages and you will understand why numbers are changing at different stages. Then maybe you could flirt with some additives knowing why you are doing it?!? Start with a complete solution like AN or GH then move up! Personnally,i think that topping, pinching, lollipopping and scrogging are the key for a bigger yeild.

Don't care for the hate or hype.
AN works, that's all that matters for me.
Cost is a little more, but worth it in my experience.

People who have not personally used it shouldn't really compare or insult the efficiency of the product.

Efficiency? How many bottles do you use? And the cost? Not quite efficient compared to products like dyna-gro.

I reccomend Fox Farm, Canna, Blue Planet Nutrients, Humboldt County's line, Humboldt Own Fusion line, Heavy 16 or Cyco Nutes.... Advance suck and way over priced..Dutch Master not so good.. If you want a basic nute that your going to want to add lots of additive to get best results then General Hydroponics is ok but you ll want to use additives.

I use fox farm with all the sups outside for years now and would never change that!

I always tend to go back to Fox Farm. It was what I was taught on and its such an easy to use nute for a reasonable cost. It is getting pricey now. I run the 3 bottle trio Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, Big bloom. I use the trio additives Cha ching, beastie bloomz, and Open sesame. I then use a bit of silica, Gravity which Im running out of so use any flower hardener, Sweet berry flavor, and flora nova flush at finish

I just wish everyone was less obsessed with other peoples nutes and just enjoyed the whole thing.
jeez. Why be so instructional all the time.
I use AN. This does not make you a noob. Some people like the simplicity of the product. Yes is expensive but I find it very strong and only use max 3/4 strength. Works out for me. Hope yours works out for you .
Enjoy

Really? There's a grow journal on this forum where somebody compares the two side by side. His name is homebrewer, check it out. Just because it doesn't require 7 or 8 bottles doesn't mean it doesn't work.
Wish Dyna Gro would just sell powder if half the bottle is going to be sediment anyway. Seems to be doing as well or almost as well as the GH Maxi series I have going next (9 clones on dyna, 10 clones on maxi) to them, but I could only get 90% of the sediment dissolved even with diluting to double the volume of water and getting it hot. I guess the good thing is it's not watered down.

I asked about Gen. Hydro at two local hydro shops. One gal told me it works but she doesn't like the aftertaste. Suggested Botanicare.

So now I gotta wonder whether it's like wine snobs. (Yeah, I know the teabrewers are artists, but figuring a simple regimen at the start is still a bit of a WTF.)

if used properly no hydroponic nutrient will leave any taste in the finished product outside of Sweet or Floranectar or other products designed for that specific purpose. GH nutrients are the highest quality, every other product relys on basically the same sources of NPKCaMgMn ect. GH is not formulated specifically for cannabis, other products are, all that must be done is a simple adjustment to the GH feeding schedule to achieve the same results you would with AN or Heavy 16.
