it is the tube that a high watt bulb goes in that allows cool air to pass through the tube, cooling the bulb and allowing you to put the light closer to the plants without burning issues. U basically buy the tube, sum ducting, put a small fan in and kapow! i don't have one setup yet, someone should be able to explain better. peace.
