What about the smell?

hello people ,i'm going to start my aerogarden in a couple a days ,starting with 2 -3 small plants....I live in a small rented appartement ,and the building's owner is living just underneath mine.I have no means of pulling outside the exaust pipe (from a carbon filter) for ex. ......i was wandering..............how strong will it reek ,from 2 - 3 lowriders ?? or if any of you could indicate alternate meanings to reduce the smell ,or suggest me some strains that have low smell,i 'd appreciate it very much .....it won't be long till i plant and i'm checkin out any means possible to reduce smell.

it all depends on what strain you are growing....

I hear that northern light from nirvana is low smell and northern lights #5 also. And you may be able to get away with a stand alone carbon filter. How big is the room? This may work.

the roo, is kinda small...but has connection to the bathroom.....no exhaust hole there also

so the area you want to grow in doesnt have any ventialtion? thata not gonna work my friend

build a growbox, a carbon filter isnt that big bro, ive also heard of something called ona gel that some other growers reccomend. as for where exactly it should be put and all that i have no idea, lol

wanna grow in the bedroom ,as i said -40x40x120 ,one plant.i live on the last floor (AND NO EVAC DUCT INCREDIBLE!!!)and the window is kinda "into the roof" hatch ,but i cannot leave t open all the time as i would freeze my ass off...........was thinkin opening the door to the bathhroom to widen the space and dissipate air.The opposite door of the bedroom gives into a small living -and then door- a 1sq foot tiny "hall -(shoe and coat area) between living and exit door" I need to be sure that the carbon filter does its job and eliminates smell in the room

Not necessarily true. I've been growing for about a year, successfully, in a non-ventilated area. I have no air exhaust. Though, it is my bedroom closet, so it shares the air with my bedroom. I grow White Satin, which is supposedly known for its low odor, but it still stinks up my whole apartment.

I have a twin draft guard under my bedroom door to keep the air from escaping. I also use a lot of Febreeze sprays and also use this Febreeze air freshener. They do they job nicely, but I'm still looking into some inline DIY carbon filters so the air circulating in the room can still get filtered.

Basically, when seed shopping, be on the lookout for descriptions that say it's good for stealth growing.

And if you apartment manager needs to come in for things like pest control, forget the whole thing. I own my condo, so no one sets foot inside. I just need to worry about the neighbors walking by my door. Again, been growing a year and no one has said anything about it.

if it were my apt I would drill holes in the walls and done.

i think a stealth growcab or dresser is the way to go, especially if you have the chance the landlord could stop by just about anytime and say he'll be there in the morning to do whatever and their isnt a thing you can do other than take it all down and hide it.

Do you have a bathroom fan? If so vent it through that
