Ok so I'll admit I don't know anything about broadcast TV signals interfering with WiFi but I just tried reloading RIU 3 times with the tv off, pretty much worked instantly, then I tried it with the TV on, in the time I load RIU 3 times with it off, it doesn't even finishing loading it once.

Television RF frequencies do not interfere w/ wifi. It must be coincidence unless your television has some type of wifi/bluetooth device. wifi, bluetooth, microwave ovens and many cordless phones operate in the same 2.4GHz range and will definitely interfere w/ each other. The 2.4 GHz RF spectrum is "unlicensed" by the FCC so manufacturers can pretty much make any device operate on that spectrum without having to purchase a license.

PS3's will also interfere w/ wifi as the controllers are bluetooth.

I was having problems earlier today, via our ethernet LAN here at home. I think the site was flooded, and they've been doing some tweaks as well.
