Wet trim stink and quality loss?

i have always trimmed wet . Recently I did a dry trim and I noticed I could get more stink out of the turkey bags. I am now using a ez trim satellite and its best to wet trim with this machine .we did a side by side wet trim with machine vs hand dry trim.. The stink was the only difference. After a week or so in the turkeys the wet trim smell will get better but never as good .

I am drying on the racks about 6 days . Is there something more I can do to bring out the smell? I have heard sweating in paper bags, cardboard boxes , can help bring out the smell. Can someone help? I don't want to fuck anything up

i only wet trim...

but think, maybe the terps are there no matter what, theyve already been produced by the plant . one method makes bud smell more...meaning ruptured trich heads allowing the smell to be released...is this really a good thing?

just a thought... i didnt really read

So the stinky turkey bag is ruptured Trichs? Huh. That's on mans opinion. Regardless of the reason a stinky bag is a stinky bag and they are going to take the one that stinks more

The problem with wet trim machines is that all the trics on the outside of the bud get smashed. Bud looks meager. If you see a wet machined trimmed buds tricombs under a scope, youd see all the balls on the triconbs knocked off. It sucks. The only wet trim ive seen work is a wet hand trim, and the bonzai hero trimmers. Those work bit you have to go over it again at least a little.

I wet trim only. It's much easier. If your looking to make bubble with your trim, ditch all those auto trimmers.I haven't used one that gets near the hash of hand trim.

Do you use a machine or hand trim? Because the trim off a machine makes great bubble.

The machine I use has bags that filter the bullshit like bubble bags . Also I pretrim everything so nothing goes into the machine with any bullshit on it. The trim I get from this machine is the only positive thing I've got from the machine so far. My blue dream is definitely getting the Trichs fucked up through the machine, Its not dry yet so I don't know how much of a quality loss I'm looking at. The calayx don't get fucked up with this machine but you have to run like 3 mins it's too much tumble action

i didnt type this for this thread, but i mean.. it still fits.
and i have done wet/dry on same plants...
i had a master kush i took at idk day 51. after a month cure.....open the jar and it smells like you got 5 coffee pots going in the house.

i had a plastic hdpe container with a 8th on me.. walked into taco bell lol, and even the cooks in the back stopped what they were doing and came up. i had people following me around like beggin dogs
true story.. imo i dont get any loss of smell. my stuff competes with the best ive had

Trim wet, rh ~60%, decent airflow ~500cfm, no light, temps 65-73°f, Hopefully this takes roughly 10-14 days before outside of buds becomes dry. Do not let any part of the bud become dry. if this happens to soon; up rh, lower temp, and/or decrease air flow. If a hay or foul odor arises increase air flow..the hay is anaerobic fermentation essentially, and what happens in the inside pf a bail of hay. When drying is complete, Jar for minumum of 16hrs to get moisture back to the tips. You can now add boveda packs and or "burp" for30 minutes and give airflow to the bud. Airflow is very important to the cure but so is maintaining 55-60%rh

After 2 weeks drying and 1 week "cure" i start to sell or taste test

i burp every other day for 2 weeks then weekly for 2months... then its good to go head stash

my penny.... what you should do.

I have a hard time getting it to take more than 7 days to dry on racks . I'm going to decrease air flow and lower temps . Thanks for the info

Are you not trimming dry due to reliability of hair cutters? Your not hang drying branches?
Yes sir. I can't get people to stick around a week and help til it's done. The guys that help me trim also grow, so they are helping, not trying to earn a paycheck. it's hard to give them incentive to stay a whole day even lol. I have only hang dry branches once. Took like 13 days to dry and once it was finally dry no one wanted to trim and I was tripping out trying to get it all done before it turned to dust. The trimmer is the only way I saw possible to get a 4th run a year
