western winds... bonsai style?

High All,
I have some western winds from sagarmatha seeds outdoors in pots. I couldn't wait to see if the seeds are viable so I started them early in the season. I have height restrictions (no more than 2.5 - 3 feet Max). I wonder if I pinch every 3rd node, on every branch, can I keep the plants short and bushy? It would seem this grow style would create short plants. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated. Here they are today-

It will be hard to contain them to that size starting this early in the season. Even starting super late in the season. You have to figure in the stretch to at least 1 times plus and a lot more depending on strains. Maybe try a scrog screen or in circle them in hog wire and keep pulling the branches down and tucking plus topping and training. 3 ft is a pretty low ceiling height.
mojo to your grow.

Thanks for the advice bro,
I live in a place where cannabis is still illegal, so I am having to keep the height Low. My tiny outdoor plot receives only about 4 hrs of direct sunlight, but I'm still worried about the western winds and my height restrictions. Worse case, I will move them indoors to flower. I am going to top and Lst them as much as possible. Thanks for the good vibes :joint:
