Tried my hand last year and did OK, although I had to harvest early due to mold issues. This year I hope to avoid that by going with some autoflowers so I can theoretically be done the end of the summer. I am going to germinate the seeds and stick them in soil on May 30th.

5 KC Brains KC45 Autoflowering Feminised Seeds
5 Heavyweight Fast & Vast Autoflowering Feminised Seeds

And some free bonus seeds I am going to experiment with :)

1 x World Of Seeds Strawberry Blue FEMINISED SEED, 2 x Delicious Cotton Candy FEMINISED SEEDS, 5 x Hawaiian Skunk Haze REGULAR SEEDS

Here's my first ever grow from last year:

last year was brutal. i threw away half my crop, my buddy had to chuck 80% of his and salvage the rest for hash.

hopefully this year is more like 2012 instead of 2013.

June 8th - All seeds germinated and sprouted except for one of the KC45. All 9 autos are soon to be put into 5 gallon buckets to start their lives on the deck. The non autos are going to 3 gallon pots and will end up in holes in various locations in my yard.

June 14th - Autos in 5 gallon buckets, photos in 2.5 gallon pots. Once the photos develop good roots they'll get put into holes in the ground.

June 28th - 1 of the freebie seeds is totally dead, one is dying, 2 are so so and 3 are doing well. I'm not going to stress over them :)

All of the autos seem to be doing great. Note that I have not watered these at all since putting them into the larger buckets, they have shown no signs of being thirsty so I'm not going to risk overwatering.

July 6th. One of the Cotton Candys broke in half and doesn't seem to be recovering. We will see. The heavyweight's are starting to show sex :)

Hopefully things work out a little better this year. Are you doing anything differently to prevent mold this time through?
July 13th - Growing, growing, growing.

Thanks! I'm keeping one end of the deck open this season to help with airflow and I'm not using overflow collectors on the bottom of the pots. The autos should finish before the native plants surrounding our yard start to decay so that will help too.

As far as the photos go it's a wait and see sort of thing :)

July 20 - Got rid of the playpen so the plants have a little more room to grow. Taking a short break before deploying the fans.

My favorite of the Fast and Vast plants

Bonus photo of our Stargazer Lilies. These had outgrown 2 pots over the past 3 years so we put her in the ground at the end of May. I think she looks pretty happy there :)

August 3 - KC45s getting taller and taller, no signs of sex yet. Heavyweight Fast and Vast are flowering hard and getting stinky in a good way.

August 10, all plants are approximately 70 days old - KC45s keep growing and growing, I hope that start flowering soon. Pistils are starting to retract on the Heavyweight Fast and Vasts. Maybe 2-3 more weeks?

August 17th. KC45s grow and grow, no buds yet. I am thinking that the Heavyweight Fast and Vast should be ready in a week or two.

September 6th: I am estimating around 4 oz dry from the Fast and Vast, most have been harvested with the exception of some lower buds on one which I am letting go a while longer. The KC45s started flowering this week, I have little hope for them finishing as they should end around late October which is way to wet and humid in WA. Very disappointed that these were advertised as 90 day autoflowers when it took them that long just to start flowering. They are freaking monsters though!!! The free regulars are just starting to show pistils so again, little hope. I am sure I can at least make some butter out of what I am able to get from everything!

September 21st. The chickens have started moving the removable fence and laying eggs on the deck instead of their house.
