So we are about to throw 8k in this room probably need a 36k btu minisplit to cool it. I think im going to do raised bed in it. Maybe 8 -75 gallon rez's filled with soil, thats going to be close to 2000 in soil alone probably. But im going to try the No-till method out. Maybe i can save a lot of money. And in the 75 gallon rezs i will probably do 5 medium plants for each rez. But i believe this room has 10' ceilings too. Well here is the room..

WHAAAAAAAT?? FUCKIN' THUGS! WHOA! That's a risk of living in the boonies, being somewhere more built up lessens the boldness factor. At least here...

The local cops have made something of a reputation for themselves regarding rippers; straight up, steal from a card holder in Colorado, you're in DEEP SHIT- and the cops get straight nasty about it.

Some dumb motherfucker thinks he can get away with ripping off a cancer patient's weed supply (in Colorado) gets himself in a whole world of hurt- and I'm okay with that.

So get out here, already- you need to be a resident before you can apply for any MMED licensing, which you will need if you want to be involved in the legal side of the industry.

THAT is the best strategy for you to employ to protect the investments of anyone who believes in what you do enough to put down their money.

I understand about baby steps. Get some kind of residency process started ASAP, then figure out the rest of it.

Meanwhile, peep my thread for some ideas about how to grow a lot more weed in that TEN FOOT TALL SPACE! LMAO!

Good looking edibles man, cane wow that sucks about those fuckin punks man I'm in a not so good neiborhood and that's always a worry of mine im getting into the end of my outdoor season and am going to be sleeping, outside soon.

Your rooms, are so legit I'm trying to do a spare bedroom, and shit is hard getting the climate all right I have to use my 10k btu ac and I'm only rocking a 1000 watt light.
And it's 75 in the bedroom then in my 4x8 tent it's 86 too hot for my liking so shit is frustrating.

Tents are ovens imo, sure they work great maybe if your up north or have minisplit in one. But id rather build a room its cheaper and more efficient. But i wouldnt mind using a tent for veg, moms and clones just to keep things nice and contained.

Thanks for that info I'm in a rental and just feel like I'm not even touching the house by keeping it all in a tent you know just like a pop up room, I also have a 12x25 den waiting for me to blow up also thinking a 10x10 tent mabey two then just use central ac to cool the whole house but I can def see these tents becoming hot boxes always like 10 degrees hotter then the ambient temp.

Ok so im upgrading my grow this week, im starting to build my new room. I am doing 8k grow that will eventually be a 10k grow. It is upstairs in a extremely nice house with hard wood floors, so keeping the floor from getting wet is a must. Ive done a lil research and i think this is the way to go.

I don't know if i want to run all 8 lights at the same time or 4k at for 6 hours then switch to other hoods if that makes sense.

XOXO. OR. XOXO
OXOX. XOXO

or start on one side of the room and do it like a sunrise and sunset.

My brother says burn them all. But worried 8k or 10k at that, might be a red flag... i know, i know everybody says just pay the bill and your good. But it's easier to say then to do.. most people that say shit act all big and shit then you find their grow and its a couple of cfls in a shoebox.

My brother has never gone this big so I'm not sure if he even knows.

I called a (trusted electrician) for him to help me build a sub panel and to run the wire to main breaker. Pretty good quote, but he said that his wife works for city about 30 mins away and they do report the bills.. im kinda calling BS but then again idk? He doesnt smoke but seems to be a cool ass dude, his father in law owns the best hydro shop in the metroplex and ive been going to him for years even when i was a GM for another local hydro shop. Lol if we didnt have something in stock id send them his way, but regardless the father in law said they do not report high power bills... lol fucking decisions...

Well anyways here is what im planning on doing, here is the link.. you got to give it to this guy. Definitely one of the best gardens ive ever seen..

Sounds good man that's kind of a trip doing the sunset sunrise thing personally I'd think run them all mabey like do 4 lights then the last month of flower do the other 4 for a total of 8.
Should be sick though that's a big grow I'm excited for you.

I would bro but i think there would be to many gaps if i can do it with only 4k burning at a time and covering that large of area would be awesome! I might use a flip box so i don't have to buy new ballast. All i would have to do is buy one more hood. And i would have 3 extra 600 watt ballast for veg. But I'm thinking about getting rid of a veg room and just keeping one big mom for cuttings.

I am also considering throwing in a couple vertical hanging 600 watter in the dark spaces for residual lighting where the other lights are waiting to come on.. so basically the lights would be rising on one side of the room but the other end would still have a 600 up high for extra light so i would really be burning 4600 which isnt bad.

Well from my understanding monster cropping is actually taking clones from a plant that is a couple weeks into flower.
This is taking a "flowering clone" and it is fine to do.

These are known to often explode in growth when the take off.

Example from online:

I am thinking that the name that you used to describe this process
was chosen because it describes the result. :0)

Your thread rocks!

Good luck,

JD

Thanks bro for stopping in, that's a nice looking plant, i would love to have a room full of those.. i fucked up by letting mine veg to long. I was like damn. "if they look like this, what would happen if i vegged it for two months?"...

Preparing for future needs is something that I will
never completely satisfy. I work with too many new
and different breeds.

Here I am thinking of headroom in the tent and the
stretch final height of the plant mainly.

Good luck,

JD

Lol let me save you the trouble.. Raised beds aren't going to help your yield problem... I tried them for 1 run it was a disaster lol. Barely got a pound a light. I do 9k watts in flower now. Electric company's don't care as long as you pay your bill.. My electric bill was 120 dollars this time last year. It is now 2900. They don't give a fuck, pay your shit on time . Let me help you save another problem by saying.. Don't get a 3 ton minisplit. If your going to have a burner in there..your not going to be able to ever go above 8k. A 3 ton would not handle my room I had to beg them to trade it back for two 2 tons. Don't hire a cheap electrician make sure he knows what's up so you can sleep at night .

Ok i got a couple of questions. Why was your beds disastrous? Did you have expirence with soil?
I don't like hydro, not because of the yield but because of the taste.
And I'm a little confused by the dont get a 3ton. For such a large room why would i want a smaller AC? The key is to be over efficient right? Like i said i probably will start with 8k but setting up for 10k. I will be running two burners one a two burner and one 4 burner for co2. And im Pretty sure me and my brother can handle the electrical work our selfs, i am a contractor when i feel like working. We built a 50amp sub panel box once before. Yes i am going to need a 100 amp this time, which i might need a service drop but i can afford this.
Im not saying you don't know what your talking about, im just asking you for a little more details. The dude on the link i posted said he was pulling 3lbs per light, which i don't necessarily believe. But he looks like he is doing better then me.

Thanks bro your input will be greatly appreciated! I was about to start to the build this weekend.

Last question do you have a link to your raised bed garden?

Here is the sub panel box my brother built

I don't have a link to my raised bed garden it was too horrible to post lol. I always use sunshine mix#4. The roots didn't have a decent way to breathe it just didn't work for me, and a lot of wasted dirt compared to pots. Do what you do. I pull 3 pounds a light in 5 gallon pots. I said that a 3 ton isn't enough to do the room your trying to do. You will need TWO 2 ton air conditioners. I'm letting you know this ahead of time because I already spent 3 grand for a 3 ton and it was not enough for my 20x18, 9k watt garden. If you don't believe me than go ahead and make the same mistake. A three ton will barely do 8k air cooled. Once you add burners and dehus, your going to overload the AC and it won't cool. You can buy two of the 2 tons for damn near the 3 ton price anyways. I am not hating bro I am trying to help you.

How long have you been growing? A word of advise .. Find a strain that works well for you, dial it in,THEN upgrade. Your past grows have been less than mediocre ( in the nicest way possible) . You should really try to work on your yields and quality before you go pouring money into something that isn't going to give you a return. I am also a grower who from the start bit off more than he could chew.. I hate to see someone else go through that pain, cause some of us don't make it through the rough times and end up like the rest, selling there gear on Craigslist.
