weird "spikes" coming out of stem

So i have a bagseed plant growing in soil under some CFL lights. the plant itself looks completely healthy, despite a bit of stretching. but there is this strange growth happening at the very bottom of the stem. it looks like these tiny little white spikes sticking out of the stem. they point a bit downwards and theyre smaller than 1mm.

i would post a picture but the only camera i have is my cellphone and it cant take clear pictures with small details...

anyone heard or seen anything like this before?

im sure it is noting man. really i wouldnt worry. 1mm white spike, it could be the dead skin around the stalk that always peels off.

arent those just roots that could have grown if transplanted deeper at least thats what i was told by another grower

I have this same thing on my ladies, I was going to start a topic but glad to see you beat me to it...now if only someone knows what it is. I was thinking maybe its where the roots thought they would start trying to grow from there and decided not to and hardened up, but im not sure some input would be awesome.

Yup, they're roots alright. I always had these when I was growing in pebbles, nothing to worry about at all :)

sworth im thinking mag deficiency on my plant on the left how ever new growth is green this is a 19 day old clone and roots just touched water a couple days ago and havent had a proper feeding yet , whats ur opinion should i give her some cal mag soon?or is this just from cannibilizing during rooting

They both look slightly sad to be honest :/ I'm not too sure about going to magnesium deficiency straight off.
Try a 1/4 strength feed (or maybe a foliar feed), and see how you go would be my advice

(Edit) Your roots look good to go! :)

lol first grow so ill accept the fact my plants look sad lol.... im just happy i had 100%success rate at my first crack of cloning , i have six more i started 3 days ago and took sum bigger cuttings this time. i tryed foliar feeding with my first clone too early and sent it into nute lock which is why she looks like that, superthrive brought her out of growth stunt, imma switch my res tommorow and try a 1/4 feeding in the res thanks for ur advice keep u posted
