So a good plant has a thicker stem he means then. Funny of the plants I've got(as small as they are at this point) one does look to have a "spindly" looking stem compared to the others, not sure what's up with that, it's only around 2 inches tall at this point but still kinda odd.

It started off slow and just one day i went to water and it was beautiful. A week after it sprout from under the dirt it still had the seed on the stem and was growing slowly at the time i had it under 33 watt cfl now its under 90 watts cfl and sun light on warm days. Onl feed mexican bat guano 10-1-1 as a top for the soil. This plant was fed three times so far.

Personally I'm gonna go organic, I started with some pro-mix starter soil that has the foods and stuff in it already and from there I'm going to mix pro-mix soil with some extra perlite and organic soil with the worm castings(and I think bat guano) and such in it. I never bothered with CFL lights, I'm just using a florescent strip light and I got a 600w HPS light though I'm really tempted to grab a led light now that I see they're affordable and they have good colour spectrum and from all I've heard plants love them, increased yield, blah blah.

What kind of soil are you using? Try to get better soil and transplant into that. Plus try to add more lighting if you can. Plant doesn't look bad but I think it could be doing a lot better. Good luck.

I think you're fine at that wattage. But turning sideways is a good idea.

You can't expect too large at that wattage. If you don't plan on adding a lot of light you need to train it around the light you have. But it you plan only tripling the wattage as I grows your can surround it with CFLs. Stem growth will follow, bit give it exercise (fan) and or some support.
