Weed On A Plane

Sniffer dogs can identify smells seperately so if your trying to cover the smell so the dog doesnt smell it it wont work. If your trying to mask the smell so humans dont smell it then it will probly work.

And I read that 60% of drugs trafficked through the US each year go through the mail.

I don't think I'd take the risk of bringing it on the plane with me. Just do what everyone else has said and mail it to your aunt's house. Tell her it's some things that you don't want the airport to lose. If you don't wanna do that, then just buy some weed when you get to New York.

best best best way to transport weed is a TIGHTVAC.. google it. they are the shit and work good. no smell at all... have containers to hold about a quarter to a quap.. had a couple o's in one and cant smell shit threw it... fuck going to the airport with anything else.. maybe you could put the tightvac in something but best idea would be to ship it.. and its completely SMELL

I love absolutely stupid comments like that.

Tell that to my boy who got busted receiving 25 LBS via UPS. He owned a marketing and distro company and had boxes shipped in and out of the shop all the time.

Or Cheye Calvo the Mayor of Berwyn Heights Maryland who had the SWAT team kick in his door, kill his two dogs and terrorize him, his wife and his mother all because someone used his wifes name and address to Fed-Ex 32 LBS of pot to her in hopes of getting the package before she did. Best part is the cops never even bothered to do enough of a background check to know they were kicking in the mayors door and they admitted to KNOWING that drug traffickers were using this ploy of shipping to innocent people in that area.

In both instances the packages were shipped domestically and the packages were intercepted during shipping. The cops then had an undercover agent make the delivery and then busted those receiving the package.

I realize we're talking about a small amount and it's probably less likely to get noticed but I just wanted to point out it DOES happen and to make such false general statements like they are facts is irresponsible. Next you'll be telling him to spray his pot with windex cause 'it's da bomb!'
in both cases, either the cops were tipped off or 25lbs of weed is simply too much to make smell proof. other than that, they wont be scanning your packages for weed. they dont randomly open ur packages.

I imagine you're probably right about how they were detected. Someone probably smelled the packages and dropped a dime but shippers are not law enforcement. They don't need a warrant to open any package they think is suspicious and then report the contents to police.

I'm just saying thinking anything you do related to marijuana in this drug war climate involves a risk and to think anything is "safe" is silly.

I agree, there is no safe. But as for the packages, escpecially in this economy, unless is is just so blantaly obvious, it is in their best interest financially to ship it and ask no questions.

Smell-proof isn't!! old_pothead is right, you need to do what he said, and more to even reduce the chance a dog will catch it..
I haven't been on a plane for quite a while.. I used to simply put it in my pocket since I knew the routine for a domestic flight at the time.. I don't think I'd do that now unless I got really refamiliarized with current airport trends, but on your person is the most secure location you can put it.. They actually have to speak to you before they search your person.. Not so for any bag you carry, and they're more likely to focus on bags if you pass their metal detectors..

Exactly, I've worked casino floors and can tell you from first hand experience if they can avoid "knowing your in too much money" they will so they don't have to report your cash transactions to the feds. it's in their best financial interest not to, but sometimes they have to because the right people are there watching over everything if you know what I mean. I'd bet there are a lot of "smelly" packages they just put on a truck and smile about too. ;)

When I was in university there was a girl who had pounds shipped to her every week.. Only one time that I know of did she lose a package.. She actually called for tracking info from a pay-phone, and the person on the other end said.. Oh, the police have your package.. She never heard anymore about it (1/2lb)..
I dunno how she never got busted.. I was told her name by several ppl on the first day, and she carried alot at all times on campus.. She made enough of an impact that the local bikers tossed a molitoff cocktail into her enclosed porch, yet never had any authority problems..

You had to go through security to pick up your wife?? I've done that at convenience stores, never at the airport..
One time when I was working at a convenience store, the guy on shift before me left 2 roaches on the pull out tray our keyboard was on.. My shift had just started, my first customer was a cop.. I pulled out the tray, and saw by reflection that he also saw them and turned to look out the window quickly before I saw him see them..
Not all LEO's are jerks.. Its just safest to assume they are..:)

Yeah there is a reason I no longer carry contraband and money in the same pocket. :eyesmoke:

Glass, HDPE, and a few others can actually contain the odour if properly sealed, but Removing odour from the exterior is still a task and a half.. I don't know how much you can mitigate drug dog risk with packaging.. I'd just be hoping domestic flights aren't worth the effort to search on that basis.. I highly doubt much major trafficing occurs in air-line luggage..
