hey guys im postin to start my journal I'm organic at this point. Using KIS Organics nutrient pack in my soil as well as reused FFOF with homemade vermicompost added in.

the fourth plant for this scrog died. I thought the clone had rooted well but i think I was a little hasty. this is in a 3x3 tent with a 250 in the middle. The plants in the front are Jack Diesels and the plant in the back right is a Moby Dick. Both are strains I've grown before. I do however have a problem with overwatering every now and again. I have to remember that these young plants dont need as much water.

in this 3x3 tent i have a 400w hps in a cooltube with a scrog underneath it. the plants are: 1x GSC and 2x Monster Cookies. They were vegged under a MH but after 1 day of HPS I flipped to flower(today). So far I haven't been doin too well for yields in these tents. My best is 6 ounces under the 400 watt. I want to up that with this scrog. The goal is 8 ounces. However, I havent grown either of these strains so I'm not sure what to expect.





my little diy cloner

So here is an update from yesterday. Two days after the pictures from the first post. I fed them the day before with aerated water infused with a sprouted mung bean tea. They are growing strong

First off the little clone tent. Havin a hard time in the cold but I'm hoping this GSC clone pulls through.

My Vertical tent is pretty funny. I'm not sure how it is gonna work this round. Last round I pulled 4.5 ounces from that tent with 4 plants, the 250w HPS in the middle, and about halfway through flower I put 24w WW T5 single strips in each corner of the tent. I wish I had done it sooner. That grow was done in old soil that I hadn't refortified. So the plants suffered But maybe this time with the help of the guys at KIS Organics I will do a little better.


I realized that I didnt include any pictures of the LED dresser with the Purple Girlscout Cookies. I dont know if I'm proud or ashamed of this little lady. She really is striking. But she got abused by the cold in the LED dresser because there was no heat. It was down to about 55 degrees every day for a couple weeks in that little basement and she didnt like it. Finally I put two 49watt CFLs in the dresser just to heat it up a little. But I have a HANS Led 56 watt panel in there from Fall of 2013 as well as 2 kessil magenta H150's. Then the CFL's are 1x WW (2700K) and 1x CW (6400K). It looks like that cold period was really detrimental to her growth. She just froze for about 2 weeks until I warmed her up. And now she is starting to fill out a little more but its too late I think. O well. I still love her.


The horizontal Scrog is really fun. I miss doing this and I'm looking forward to see how it goes. It went really well for me the first time I used a scrog.

Garden Update!

I made a sprouted seed tea with mung beans for my plant and added in a bit of humic acid. This is what I got:

The LED dresser GSC got the chop today. Here are some photos

The vertical scrog is goin well too. I moved the pretty little carnivorous plant from the led tent to the vertical scrog. It is puttin up flowers right now I think!.


Day 7 Flower for the cooltube scrog

Back from a Big Sur weekend Lots of fun happening in the garden right now.

First off, my worm bin went crazy. Apparently all of the mung beans I've been germinating for my SST's have continued to grow and they are lifting the hat on my wormbin!!! Edit: You can see the PH bottles at the bottom right of this picture. Those are not in use. I just haven't found any one to unload them on yet. Haven't PH my shit in a year or so now. I love it!!!


Next we have the horizontal scrog and it is now almost 2 weeks into 12/12. These are a few pics from day 12 (today).




My vertical scrog is doin pretty well also. I am feeling sheepish for doin it with 3 plants when my fourth clone didn't take, but whatever! I'm going to be taking a lot of clones from the backs of these three to replenish my stock as well as to give some to friends.

Garden pics update

The scrog is doin great! These are pictures from day 16 of 12/12 (today).


The vertical grow is goin well too! I trimmed up the bushes so the majority of the plant is hugging the cage. In a couple of weeks I want to flip to flower. I took probably 25 clones from these three plants. I dont know if any of them will root though because I am trying a new cloning process. I used to have a DIY bubble cloner but I just went and got a heat mat and humidity dome to see if I could clone that way.

Heat Matt and humidity done do work well. Just be sure not to overwater. Just a light must each day! Should work fine.
I bought a bubble cloner and after a few months went back to this method.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I may have overwatered them the first day because they are all super droopy. I wont get back to them until tomorrow or the next day though so I wont know how they are. Is it a must to spray everyday? I can have my buddy do it if I have to....but I like to take care of as much as I can myself.

It's looking awesome dude, that horizontal scrog is kickin' ass. I'm excited to see how it all pans out.

PS Don't forget to sing lullabies to them each night. They need to feel loved in order to reach their full potential.

I usually do spray daily. But that because I don't like to get the cube to wet. They are still in the rockwool? If so I know that holds lots of water so you should be good for a day or two. But yeah let them dry out. make the roots search

Well tbh I didn't buy any rockwool. I've done this sort of cloning in the past with a friend and we just used lightwarrior from FF and it worked fine. So I used my soil I use for all my plants as the medium. You think that was a silly idea?

No light warrior is good stuff! Even better for leaving them for longer periods.

Some soils will be to hot for clones and young plants. What soil is it?

well it is a non amended recycled soil. I'm not sure how they are doin with it. I'll take a picture tomorrow morning and post it tomorrow evening after work.

So this is day 19 of 12/12 for the horizontal scrog. The plants are looking amazing but I'm worried that a 400 w is not enough for this amount of space. I've moved my 2 kessil 150s in here and im thinking of also doin a couple of the CREE cob 3070 diy build that everyone has been doin. I'm not sure yet what time/money will avail.


The clones were so freakin dry by the time I got there. I guess I wasnt ready for the heat mat to dry them out in 2 days. So they all look like they are toast!!!! I trimmed up some of the "deader" leaves and I watered them and we will see if any survive. If not it isnt a horrible thing because I have plenty more material to take some clones from and I also have a lot of seeds I want to try.


The scrog has started also in the dresser for a small Girscout cookies clone. I think the veg will be slow for the next week or two until she really gets her roots into this pot. It is a really exciting grow for me. The last GSC in this tent gave me 2 ounces and I wanna see if I can get more with a scrog. There is a 60 watt Hans Panel LED in there as well as 2 49 watt cfls. The cfls are only for heat because it was way to cold this month. But I have some cree globes for side lighting that are only 10 watts. I might use those during the summer.

The donut grow with the 250 watt HPS is looking great and I flipped it to flower today! so day one of 12/12 begins tomorrow!
