My rights were trampled on. Will you be next?
Hi, my name is Joe Nelson. I'm 36 years old, single, and have been medically unable to perform my job in full for the last two years. I've been using cannabis to alleviate the chronic pain and illness I suffer with. Not being able to work much, I grew my own medicine to save money. Seven months ago my private property was raided by local sheriffs with a warrant, that stated incorrectly, the private property was Cleveland National Forest. They also state they are using Google maps as their source of the information.

If you are someone, or know someone, who uses Marijuana for medical purposes, you or they could be next. Help me fight this gross negligence of misinformation and word play used against us, to get judges to sign warrants and ultimately compromise our rights.

My lawyer has expressed to me that "this is the type of case that could be law changing!" Help me create a precedence in the matter of Medical Marijuana laws in California, and for 4th amendment rights everywhere!

I spent my entire savings bailing out of jail.
My lawyer has already cut his cost in half because he is excited to be a part of this case. I have no savings left and no time to save more. I need your help. I want to pay this amazing lawyer an incredibly fair fee to help me, and the Medical Marijuana community in the process. The money will go to pay his fees and expert witnesses to appear if necessary.
If the entire amount is not reached the remainder will be paid by me in payments to the lawyer.

If this fund skyrockets, I will be hiring a team of lawyers to counter suit on the agencies involved, and try to force by judgement: law change, precedence and clarification of standing Prop 215 medical marijuana laws.

We need all the support we can get, regardless of what form that support may come in. We need to have the strength and representation to show the courts that conducting raids using software such as google maps is an invalid and inexcusable way to present evidence for a warrant. Furthermore it is unacceptable that a warrant be posted with such incorrect information, as was the case with Mr. Nelson. After all, if you live at 123 abc street, and the authorities show up with a warrant for a national forestry area, you wouldn't be inclined to adhere to their request for searching the area.


Yet that is exactly what has happened here, a warrant followed by an illegal raid was conducted based on false information obtained from a source which does not authorize its use in legal matters.

Not only was the information collected inaccurate but the method of obtaining it was illegal as per Google map's End User License Agreement (EULA), a binding terms of service and use contract for that software.

Our hope is not only to right this wrong and correct the injustice that has occurred but also to bring attention to detail as to how our tax money is being used to conduct business.
