The farming community does the heavy lifting while others profit at their expense.

Legalization = Higher Taxes & Higher Prices.

Get ready for $30 grams.
Time to unionize. How about "United Cannabis Growers of Michigan" for a name. In all seriousness, though, I support the MI Legalize ballot initiative much more than the Michigan Cannabis Coalition's.

After the passing of HB 4209 today, it's important for me to see MI Legalize's bill on the ballot. Here's a good quote from Matt Abel today: "While these bills go quite far in allowing infused products and dispensaries, they freeze out of the system all the people who are currently growing. All of them."

Build a medical market on the backs of compassionate caregivers risking their freedom and they (brokers) will come. Of course they won't live under any such rules/laws (MMMP) like suckers, they'll just buy some much more suitable to their liking and profitability. In the end it's all in the best public interest ...

Regulatory capture is a form of political corruption that occurs when a regulatory agency, created to act in the public interest, instead advances the commercial or political concerns of special interest groups that dominate the industry or sector it is charged with regulating. Regulatory capture is a form of government failure; it creates an opening for firms or political groups to behave in ways injurious to the public (e.g., producing negative externalities). The agencies are called "captured agencies".

probably the best option out there. i sure as fuck don't want a bunch of oakland county republicans, who cheered and backed the "law and order" candidates who've put so many of us in jail, to run the show.

This is from another forum.

"Mark my wordz: IF YOU MI GUYS LEGALIZE; THEY WILL FUCK YOU (big business that is)!!! It will never get any better than it is RIGHT NOW!! I'm from Washington where they continue to fuck us more and more everyday, after promising to not touch medical. Lies lies lies. Never believe a Fuckin word they say. Period. They say left you go right. They say jump, you duck. Do the opposite of their agenda and you will be right 99% of the time."

Listen to what he says or grab your ankles.

There are two different legalization proposals trying to get on the ballot, MI Legalize and Michigan Cannabis Coalition. The Michigan Cannabis Coalition proposal wants to legalize solely for big business, they want to keep all grow rights reserved for big commercial companies. The MI Legalize proposal gives the freedom to grow to everyone over 21, with even better protection than the current MMMP does.

I would like to add that neither recreational marijuana ballot initiative will have an effect on the current patient-caregiver model as it is written in the Michigan constitution. Any changes to the original medical law, whether through another signature drive or through the legislature, would have to be approved by voters in a general election.

Yes? We are on the same page about MCC. Just like I said, MCC wants all the grow rights reserved for big business (big brother). That's just another reason to support MI Legalize instead, to give EVERYONE the rights to grow.

Actually MI Legalize grants us more rights as patients/caregivers. Things like concentrates and edibles, as well clones/cuttings that are currently grey area or illegal are defined under the MI Legalize proposal. Concentrates and edibles would be legal, and small cuttings, clones, and seedlings would not be counted as part of your plant count.

That's what they said in Washington and Canada too... Canada fought and won and still grows... Washington lost and doesn't grow...

Seems to me 2 outa 2 times they say "you patients are safe" and then proceed the strip patients of grow rights... Fool me twice and all that...
