Wattage and usable light

I have an FCE 6500 and am going to buy a similar size light for my second flower tent and I found a fairly new resale Thinkgrow model w which is 630w for 450, a one grow used fc 8000 for 700(800w), or a fresh fce 6500(730w) for around 520ish. Quality of light and yield potential is my priority, price is secondary.

I'm running a tsw2000 in my veg tent and it seems to me that it's a very harsh light. I don't have it dimmable so I have to have it at least 36inch above canopy. The FCE 6500 is better but I still feel like it is harsh and needs at least 12-14 inches(I'm also running CO2).

My thought process is that even though the Thinkgrow is less wattage, it would be a better lignt overall and wouldnt be that dissimilar.

Any advice would be appreciated thank you!

Why do you think the thinkgrow would be better? Its less efficient than the mars Hydros according to specs.

Balancing feeding schedules with non-dimmable LED’s proved to be the solution for me
I have plants that are perfectly happy now at about 15 inches
