the ph climbs as the chlorine comes out of it also when your ph go`s over 7 or so you can get bacteria breed fast but if your running good soil there should be microbes in that soil that will eat that bacteria

Still 170 is pretty good for tap water, any idea what`s it ? probably cal right ?

as for ph`ing yes a rapid ph swing will kill some microbes, I like to add ph up or down to some water and then add that to what has the microbes in it so that they are not getting it full power

or if I`m going to add microbes after ph`ing I put it in pure in the hope that I kill some unwanted microbes and the new good ones and feast on the evil dead ones lol

around ph7 is good for microbes to develop but that can also encourage some that aren't so good to take hold too so its a catch 22 brew up a tea I guess if your organic its what you people do right ? lol

If your using co2 you want to trap it in the room and you need a fan so it don't settle on the floor.

I use a closed hood and pull air from outside of the grow room through the hood and back out. this way it don't mess with the co2 ppms.

ok I have a gorilla tent, and im blowing a fan through its air flaps or whatever their called not the actual vent hole that is their but its like thius flap and theirs three of them to maximize air circulation but I only have two open and that's it, the flapps arwe on the bottom and my exhale bag is a little bnut below my umbrella? should I change anything?

If you're using co2 you need to close it up. I'm assuming heat would be a factor. notice how these lights are hooked up.They have ducting and exhaust the air in the room would be unaffected.

Are you sure your tent isn't upside down? From what you're saying it sounds upside down. another note on the tent, does it really seal in co2?

yea im sure its not upside down gorilla tenst bottoms are already attached to the walls all you gotta do is seal it up with its zippers. and yes it does an amazing job at it. but its not like I have the fan blowing maximum I got it on two sometimes one just so like you sqaid it doesn't settle on the bottom and stayu their. but my yields have gone up since ive thrown in the bag. and no heat isn't a problem my room is at a constant 75 on light on and 69-68 ish at night depends on the winter coldness and summer its always 78-79. and im using an umbrella and the co2 exhalke bag is elevated a little bnit above the light. id have to take a pic to showe you. I just don't have camera. lmfao!!!!

sweet thread. i grow all organic on my 4th run of with the same amended soil. i try to keep ahead of the deficiencies by top dressing a little here and there. just read threw the thread quick was wondering if you are feeding molasses or any sugars to feed the soil? what is your source of phosphorus during flower? i am envious of your setup as i only have room for a 2x4x5 tent but do ok for such a small area.
when i reamend and cook my soil i add a good 25-50% composted cow/chicken/goat manure. also adjust other things in mix.
blue widow grown full organic. nice mellow smoke one of my favorite indica's not knock out sleepy but mellow relaxed stone. this was my first water only grow and have not gone back.
10-20 021.JPG as for the coyote's and goats nothing a real hot electric fence close the ground and up 5 feet will not cure. goats are awesome lawnmowers and brush eaters. now as for werewolves this maybe a problem they can jump.

I do give them a little bit of raw sugar. The cow manure pretty much has everything else in it I'm not really sure if the stuff I put in did anything at all. When I seen a little yellowing going on I top dressed with some bloodmeal and it burned my plants and didnt really make a difference.

could the yellowing be a cal/mag problem?
nice thread tho i appreciate a good one when i see it.
Nope just the natural life cycle. No necrosis of any kind.
is this naturally this color or is it from cold temps? looks like some of my out door bud.

yeah natural color if outside winter temps get down below 0 my night temps dip into upper 50's. most nights 62 with daytime up to 78.
a little bigger swing in temps than i like but that is just how my setup is. does bring out nice colors tho.

I am getting those same colors on my Platt Bubba and Holy Grail and was thinking it was a Phosphorus def. My temps stay between 72 and 81 degrees. Other strains are not showing these colors so I figured it wasn't from low temps. I also am now wondering if the PH of my water caused it. All of my plants are in the same soil but have varying amounts of perlite so drainage is not the same. That has me thinking a possible root issue. The next round will give me an idea I hope...

Are they all from seed If they are it could be a different phenotype? What are the night temps?

The Holy Grail and Platt Bubba are clones. I did pop seeds for the XJ13, Blue Magoo and the unknown strain. The night time temps are around 72 degrees. My water tends to climb above 8.4 ph over night and there have been a few times that I did not adjust it back down prior to use so that could be the issue. I have started adjusting it but the issue seems to be progressing.
I top dressed them both with some enriched potting compost and some Flower Girl 4-10-7 six days ago and watered on the 17th with a diluted tea. Today is water day so they will get clear water.

Time to head out there and see whats up!!:peace:
