like carbon in the soil? and budswell is a guano that promotes swelling hence why its called budswell. I live bye it and did side by side and shit is big as my fists lmfao!!!! not to mention its low npk so you can use a lil extra. you can use it as an amendment in the soil, like I have been. and it gives nice results

also for the carbon ive been using something called earthshine soil booster with bio char. Increases soil carbon levels, Supports microbial development, Trace and essential minerals, Fortfied with humic acid & worm castings. but I make my own castings too and ive added a small amount of this to my finished castings and it is the shit. I tell you.

I did add 5 pounds of bat guano to my mix. I had no idea what was going on with the guano thing. From what I've been hearing guano is not a good thing to use because they are destroying bat colonies to get it. I think what I'm going to do is run this super soil water only once then re amend with cow manure. I do want a worm farm.

That would be a good idea. I don't like bat guano at all because of the impact on the colonies. Cow manure and fresh worm castings is where its at.

I am a water only grower also! I have been re-using my soil for over a year. I use steer manure, chicken manure, EWC, forest compost and Mushroom compost for re-amending the soil along with a few other amendments. I do make an ACCT every now and then with mushroom compost, EWC and molassas just to feed the soil. I have not adjusted the ph of my water in over a year as it comes out of the tap at 7.14.

My soil is a bit hot in the beginning so I have some dark green happening but it lightens up with time. The only issue that I have is that I forget to check on my plant's from time to time and they get too dry. Once that manure dries out it is hard to get it to soak up water again.

This is one of my current plant's. It is a Platinum Bubba at day 3 of flowering. The shiny spots you see are from the neem/spinosad spray she got a week ago when one of my other plant's had the Borg!!! My rooms run cool so I get some purple stems (65 degrees at dark and 78-80 degrees at lights on)

Note on dry soil. If you let your plants get too dry, beneficial microbe populations will diminish some as a result.

You are correct!! I have let a few pots dry out too much and the plant never resumed growing properly. In fact they tuned colors very fast and suffered the rest of their lives.

This is one of the plant's that I let dry out too much. Once the roots suffer, they don;t like to come back.

Note on bat guano. nearly positive that the fine guano dust was responsible for a few very bad eye infections I had shortly safer using that amendment.
That is another reason i don't use guano. Nasty stuff.
For anyone that does use it; please take precautions such as using a respirator and be sure to wash your hands after use.

Very nice dude!! Love the romulan, I've been wanting to run it for a little while, maybe soon it's so nice looking. Props on the water only! That's how I do all my outdoor gardens. Got the best peppers this year!
