water chiller setup

got a good deal on a water chiller off ebay, when I got it it wasnt cooling so i took the case off and the fan was locked up so I got a bath vent motor and made it work, its a 1/15 prime chiller says they have titanium coils, does that mean its safe to run my res water through their, to test i have a tote with strong h2o2 water and a bucket with water inside of that, its chilling the water in the tote and the bucket stays about 1deg hotter, would I be better off just cooling the bucket water.

All the commercially built chillers for aquariums or hydroponics use titanium coils. You can circulate your res water through the chiller.

So did you get your chiller to work? Are you using it in a sealed room or just to cool lights?

got it working, put a 110 cfm bath vent fan on the back and vented it outside so it now works as a room vent, is it worth sealing off and using outside air for intake vent instead of inside air?

So it chills to only (1) degree cooler? That doesn't seem right, also make sure what you are chilling is insulated somewhat. Bubble insulation, duct or hot water insulation is nice to use.
