Watch a moron build a LED light

Phantom is definitely shooting himself in the foot by not responding to email of social media. While the wavy board and the fusion board don't have the photometric data the sunboard has all Samsung LED that other boards use. Also, his boards sell out with little effort on his part.
These kind of boards are going to get remade by other manufacturers real soon and once people see how easy it is to make a light shit gonna get crazy. These will be available soon by the same company that makes all the other Samsung LED PCBs. Have eight on the way. I like that these have the LEDs staggered and lights more spread out to spread out heat. I'll have heat, ppfd, and wattage posted next week on the sunboards when I get the PAR meter. I'll do it without a heat sink and then add the DIY aluminum angle heatsinks. I feel like these new boards will have similar heat dispersion properties.
Size: 305*355mm
336led on the pcb board
voltage: 68v
max current: 2800ma,160w
Going to pick up a couple HLG-480H-C1750B and run four panels off it. Gonna make two of those for my 4x8 tent. I'll post PPFD, heat, and watt info on these too when I get the panels together.

its like cobs all over again. 10 manufacturers with parts that all do the same thing

There isn't a link to a website. I got this info from digging around the net and finding the manufacturer and dealing with them directly via email. Sent them money already via paypal. Hope I don't get burned. Anyway, when I get tracking I'll pull the trigger on the drivers so they'll be here when I get the boards.

The chips and maker might be the same but I would have a hard time trusting the traces and other standards of HLGs QBs. Could be but I'm not willing to take the gamble. If I can't get HLG boards I will/would go to Cobbkits and just build a Cob style light. Both form factors produce and are consistaint.

Just a tip, soldering is easy with the right tools.
Get a liquid flux (don't use plumbers flux, it is super hard to wash off), even some of the better solders can be iffy to work with without flux.

You will kick yourself once you see how easy it really is when the solder wets out and follows the heat. The flux supercleans the soldering spots as it gets heated up, allowing the solder to flow there.

For surface mount shit, get a syringe of liquid solder. Place it and your components and hit it with a hot air gun.

Remember...I'm a moron. What's a trace? What standards would HLG be aware of that the manufacturers of the boards wouldn't be hip to?

Don't have time for a proper PAR map right now. Hopefully I can get one this weekend. How's 200 PPFD for a 24 hour veg? Too much? Too little?
Getting about 200 PPFD give or take at 14ish inches. HAve the lights dialed back some so I don't know exactly how much wattage it's pulling. Like I said...I hope to get it soon.

So I dialed my light on the 2100ma light to 150 watts. The light is 12 from the top of the plants. I'm getting 250-300 ppfd in veg. FYI.
